Hanoi was honored as "Asia's Best Culinary City Destination 2024" at the World Culinary Awards.
The World Food Awards is a global initiative to recognize and honor outstanding achievements in the culinary industry, part of a series of awards developed by the World Travel Awards. The award results are announced based on the votes of culinary experts and the public after a period of evaluation and voting. This year, the 5th award ceremony took place in Dubai, UAE.
Before the award "Best Culinary City Destination in Asia 2024", Hanoi was honored in the category "Most Outstanding Culinary City Destination in Asia 2023", surpassing other famous nominated destinations such as Taipei (Taiwan, China), Seoul (Korea), Bangkok (Thailand)...
Hanoi cuisine is highly regarded and is increasingly making its mark on the world culinary map. The city has three of the first four Michelin-starred restaurants in Vietnam, with a series of famous street foods such as pho, bun cha, banh mi, nem chua ran, banh xeo...
This year, Tripadvisor also announced Hanoi in the top 15 cities with the most attractive cuisine in the world.
In addition, a number of restaurants and hotels in Hanoi were also honored at this year's World Cuisine Awards, including Hibana by Koki restaurant at Capella Hanoi Hotel as "Best Hotel Restaurant in Vietnam 2024", Anan Saigon won "Best Restaurant in Vietnam 2024", and Capella Hanoi received the title "Best Brunch Spot in the World 2024".
