Hanoi opens series of 50 tourism promotion events in 2024

The program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2024 - Get on Hanoi 2024" opens a series of about 50 cultural events and tourism festivals in Hanoi this year. On the opening night, the audience enjoyed the performance of 300 drones and many special art performances.

On the evening of March 9, at Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space (Trinh Cong Son walking street, district Tay Ho, Hanoi ), Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with Tay Ho District People's Committee organized the opening ceremony of the program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2024 - Get on Hanoi 2024".

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision to recognize Nhat Tan tourist area with the theme "Get on Hanoi 2024 - The fragrance of Tay Ho".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that in 2023, Hanoi has deployed a series of 189 tourism promotion activities and events, including many unique and high-quality tourism events and activities.
Tourism businesses have introduced many new tourism products that have been well received by tourists such as: Temple of Literature night tour "The Quintessence of Taoism", Ngoc Son Temple night tour, Literature tour of Heart and Talent...

These activities contributed to helping the capital's tourism industry attract 24.72 million visitors.

Hanoi has also been honored by international organizations through many awards such as: Asia's Leading City Tourism Destination 2023; Asia's Leading City Tourism Destination for Short Breaks 2023; " World's Best Golf City Destination 2023"...

From this foundation, the city organizes the program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2024 - Get on Hanoi 2024".

The event opened the door to a series of more than 50 series of cultural activities, festivals, tourism 2024 of Hanoi such as: Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024; Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024; Hanoi Autumn Festival; Cuisine and Craft Village Tourism Festival; Hanoi Ao Dai Festival 2024..., contributing to promoting the image of the capital Hanoi to domestic and international friends.

The series of activities aims to complete the goal of welcoming 27 million tourists to Hanoi in 2024, including 5.5 million international visitors; total revenue from tourists reaching 109.41 trillion VND.

Within the framework of the program, the Hanoi People's Committee awarded the Decision to recognize Nhat Tan Tourist Area (Nhat Tan Ward, Tay Ho District) as a city-level tourist area. Nhat Tan Ward has long been famous for its peach blossom cultivation, West Lake landscape; relics such as Tao Sach Pagoda, Nhat Tan Communal House; tourist attractions such as Water Park, Flower Valley, Red River Stone Beach, Creative Cultural Space (Trinh Cong Son Street) ... have been attracting a large number of visitors and tourists.

Nhat Tan tourist area is located in the complex of many famous tourist destinations of Tay Ho district, typically: Tran Quoc Pagoda, Tay Ho Palace, Dong Co Temple... along with many unique festivals and famous traditional craft villages: Phu Thuong sticky rice craft, Quang An lotus tea craft, Tu Lien kumquat craft...

With Nhat Tan ward becoming a city-level tourist area, Tay Ho district has the conditions to become an attractive tourist center.

On the evening of March 9, the public enjoyed a special art program with the theme “The Fragrance of West Lake” and many other unique art performances. Especially the performance of 300 unmanned aerial vehicles with unique shapes.

On March 10, the program continues with other exhibitions and art performances.
