Lang Son: Arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country

The draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, announced by the 13th Party Central Committee on October 15, 2025, are attracting much attention from cadres, party members and people of Lang Son province.

The documents demonstrate strategic vision and innovative thinking, steadfastness in the goals of national independence and socialism, and reflect the aspiration for national development in the new era.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Minh, 64 years old, a prestigious person residing in Na Duong commune, Lang Son province, said that the Draft Political Report of the 14th National Congress is a central document, reflecting the intelligence, vision and leadership of the entire Party, people and army in the new period.

The contents of the assessment of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the country's foundation after 40 years of renovation are presented comprehensively, covering the fields of politics, economics , culture, society, national defense, security and foreign affairs.

The report highlights many important achievements, accurately reflecting the country's development in a context of many changes; at the same time affirming the Party's leadership role, the strength of great national unity and the effectiveness of the comprehensive renovation process.

The goals to 2030 and the vision to 2045 are clearly defined, demonstrating the strategic vision towards building a country that develops rapidly, sustainably, modernly and happily.

In particular, the document demonstrates the spirit of innovative thinking, enhancing strategic autonomy, promoting digital transformation and green transformation, valuing human development, promoting socialist democracy and arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Minh commented: “Although the limited assessment has frankly acknowledged the problem, it is necessary to clarify the responsibilities, operating mechanisms and focus on overcoming and promptly resolving the shortcomings mentioned in the document. Some contents on culture, education, science - technology, environment, regional development, energy conversion... need to be concretized into clear policy orientations.”

Regarding the Draft Report summarizing a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process over the past 40 years in Vietnam, Mr. Hoang Dinh Tu, residing in Chien Thang commune, Lang Son province, said that the content on the world, regional and domestic contexts affecting Vietnam over the past 40 years of renovation was elaborately constructed, tightly structured, demonstrating the Party's profound theoretical and practical summary thinking.

The document comprehensively summarizes major changes in the world and in the country through each period, clarifying objective and subjective factors that directly affect the innovation process.

Mr. Tu highly appreciated the assessment in the Political Report: "Our Party promptly grasped changes in the situation, flexibly and adaptively handled unusual fluctuations, took advantage of opportunities, overcame challenges, led the people to build and develop the country, and achieved great achievements of historical significance."

He believes that this content accurately reflects the Party's political mettle, leadership capacity and strategic vision in seizing opportunities, overcoming challenges, proactively integrating, and being creative in leading and directing the implementation of the innovation policy.

According to Mr. Tu, the "Domestic context" section has clearly stated the achievements but needs to clarify the causes of the limitations related to productivity, innovation, integration and human development.

Mentioning risks and challenges such as international integration or non-traditional security should also be linked to solutions and response directions for the coming time.

Analyzing the content of the Forecast of the situation, viewpoints and solution orientations to continue to comprehensively and synchronously promote the innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland, Ms. Trieu Thu Huyen, a Party member of Loc Binh commune, Lang Son province, said that the orientations, tasks and solutions are comprehensively developed, both having fundamental theoretical nature and being concretized by clear actions.

The system of guiding viewpoints demonstrates the steadfastness in the goal of national independence associated with socialism, while affirming the spirit of creativity and flexibility in applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought to new conditions.

Ms. Huyen emphasized that the specific goals clearly reflect the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country, demonstrating the determination to turn Vietnam into a developed, high-income country.

The solutions in the document are rich and multi-dimensional, including institutional improvement, socio-economic development, strengthening national defense, security, foreign affairs, Party building and the political system, thereby affirming the Party's independence, autonomy and intelligence in managing the national development strategy.

Ms. Huyen proposed to supplement and clarify new breakthrough solutions in the new context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and green-digital transformation; in the situation forecast section, it is necessary to clarify potential risks to be proactive in policy making./.
