The draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, announced by the 13th Central Committee on October 15, 2025, are attracting much attention from officials, Party members, and the people of Lang Son province.

These documents demonstrate strategic vision and innovative thinking, unwavering commitment to the goals of national independence and socialism, and reflect the aspiration for national development in the new era.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Minh, 64 years old, a respected resident of Na Duong commune, Lang Son province, believes that the Draft Political Report of the 14th National Congress is a central document, reflecting the wisdom, vision, and leadership capabilities of the entire Party, people, and army in the new era.

The assessment of the implementation of the Party's 13th National Congress Resolution and the country's progress after 40 years of reform is presented comprehensively, covering the main areas of politics, economics , culture, society, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.

The report highlights many important achievements, accurately reflecting the country's development in a context of many changes; at the same time, it affirms the leadership role of the Party, the strength of national unity, and the effectiveness of comprehensive reform.

The targets for 2030 and the vision for 2045 are clearly defined, reflecting a strategic direction towards building a rapidly developing, sustainable, modern, and happy nation.

In particular, the document reflects the spirit of innovative thinking, strengthening strategic autonomy, promoting digital transformation and green transformation, valuing human development, promoting socialist democracy, and inspiring the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Minh commented: “While the assessment of limitations frankly acknowledges the issues, it is necessary to clarify responsibilities, operational mechanisms, and focus on addressing and resolving the shortcomings mentioned in the document as soon as possible. Some contents regarding culture, education, science and technology, environment, regional development, energy transition, etc., need to be concretized into clear policy directions.”

Regarding the Draft Report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented reform process in Vietnam over the past 40 years, Mr. Hoang Dinh Tu, residing in Chien Thang commune, Lang Son province, believes that the section on the global, regional, and domestic contexts impacting Vietnam over 40 years of reform is meticulously constructed, tightly structured, and reflects the Party's profound theoretical and practical summarization.

The text provides a comprehensive overview of major global and domestic changes throughout different periods, clarifying the objective and subjective factors that directly influenced the reform process.

Mr. Tu highly appreciated the assessment in the Political Report: "Our Party has promptly grasped the changes in the situation, handled unusual fluctuations appropriately and flexibly, seized opportunities, overcome challenges, led the people in building and developing the country, and achieved great achievements of historical significance."

He argued that this content accurately reflects the political acumen, leadership capacity, and strategic vision of the Party in seizing opportunities, overcoming challenges, proactively integrating, and being creative in leading and directing the implementation of the reform policy.

According to Mr. Tu, the "Domestic Context" section clearly outlines the achievements but needs to further clarify the causes of limitations related to productivity, innovation, integration, and human development.

Addressing risks and challenges such as international integration or non-traditional security should also be linked to solutions and future response strategies.

Analyzing the content of the forecast, viewpoints, and solution orientations aimed at comprehensively and synchronously promoting the reform, construction, and protection of the Fatherland, Ms. Trieu Thu Huyen, a Party member from Loc Binh commune, Lang Son province, believes that the orientations, tasks, and solutions are comprehensively developed, possessing both fundamental theoretical foundations and clearly concretized actions.

The guiding principles demonstrate unwavering commitment to the goal of national independence linked with socialism, while simultaneously affirming the spirit of creativity and flexibility in applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought to new conditions.

Ms. Huyen emphasized that the specific goals clearly reflect the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation, demonstrating the determination to make Vietnam a developed, high-income country.

The solutions outlined in the document are rich and multifaceted, encompassing institutional reform, socio-economic development, strengthening national defense, security, and foreign relations, and building the Party and political system. This affirms the Party's independent, self-reliant, and wise leadership in managing the national development strategy.

Ms. Huyen suggested adding and clarifying new, groundbreaking solutions in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and green transformation/digital transformation; in the forecast section, it is necessary to clarify potential risks to proactively plan policies.
