During the visit and work in the two South American countries, the delegation laid wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and downtown Santiago (Chile); met with the President of the Communist Party of Chile and worked with the leaders of the Communist Party of Chile; worked with the leaders of the government and some specialized agencies of Buenos Aires (Argentina); attended the Conference on Investment and Trade Promotion and Connection between Hanoi enterprises and enterprises of Argentina and Chile; visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and Chile.
At the meetings and working sessions, on behalf of the working delegation, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan gave an overview of the capital city of Hanoi and the People's Council; at the same time, reviewed the relationship between Hanoi and Argentina and Chile in recent times, especially the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Argentina and Chile, which has had new developments, going into depth, in all fields.
The delegation also discussed the direction of cooperation between Hanoi and the capitals of Argentina and Chile in the coming time. These include increasing contact and delegation exchanges between the two sides; promoting promotion activities, investment, trade, tourism; supporting Vietnamese enterprises in general and Hanoi enterprises in particular to learn about the situation, needs, trends, market opportunities and conditions to promote trade cooperation activities to boost exports to the markets of Argentina and Chile.
In addition, with a unique and attractive cultural background, the Hanoi delegation hopes that the two sides will enhance cultural and artistic exchanges, promote people-to-people exchanges, and promote culture and historical values between Hanoi and Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile.
Within the framework of the conferences on investment and trade promotion and connection between Hanoi enterprises and enterprises of Argentina and Chile, Hanoi enterprises and enterprises of Argentina and Chile signed Memorandums of Understanding and cooperation agreements in many fields.
At the investment promotion conferences, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan affirmed that the Hanoi government always attaches importance to, accompanies and is ready to create the best conditions for businesses interested in, investing and doing business effectively in Hanoi - the City "For Peace", "Creative City". Through the Vietnamese Embassies in the two countries and the Embassies of the two countries in Vietnam to promote connections between the business community, enhance the promotion of potential cooperation opportunities and support businesses to invest and do business.
Also within the framework of the working trip, the specialized agencies of Hanoi conducted field surveys and worked with the specialized agencies of the two capitals of Buenos Aires and Santiago, exchanging experiences in the fields of planning, planning management, traffic infrastructure, wastewater and waste treatment, smart city construction, investment environment and future cooperation orientations between localities of Argentina and Chile with Hanoi.
The delegation also visited and worked with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and Chile. On behalf of the city's leaders, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and Chile for their cooperation in the delegation's diplomatic activities; and at the same time requested the Embassy to continue to pay attention and coordinate to promote the image of the capital city of Hanoi to international friends.
The working trip of the Hanoi Delegation contributed to promoting the friendly relationship between Hanoi and localities of Argentina and Chile. At the same time, it helped Hanoi to promote investment, exchange and cooperation in various fields, enhance friendly cooperation; connect and meet with government agencies and elected bodies of localities in the two countries to exchange experiences in organizing the government apparatus; build and plan socio-economic development policies; promote the functions and roles of elected bodies in supervising the implementation of local policies. Expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as: planning, urban, environmental protection, wastewater and waste treatment, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, social security work and organization of promotion activities, investment, trade and tourism.
The visit and working session in Argentina and Chile of the Hanoi delegation ended successfully, achieving the results as planned, contributing to the development of cooperation and friendship between Hanoi and localities of Argentina and Chile. At the same time, promoting investment, trade, tourism and other areas in the socio-economic development of the city.
