The 2024-2025 school year is the second season of the Hanoi International Young Informatics Talent Competition with outstanding scale and quality. The preliminary round of the competition attracted nearly 50,000 contestants from nearly 1,000 schools, an increase of nearly 60% compared to the previous season. In particular, this year, the competition recognized the participation of visually impaired students, affirming that this is an equal playing field, encouraging all students to confidently integrate and demonstrate their talents.

The contest was launched in December 2024, consisting of 3 rounds: Preliminary round (school level), preliminary round (commune/ward level) for primary and secondary school students; final round at city level for all three levels. As a result, in the preliminary round, more than 80% of primary school candidates and nearly 80% of secondary school candidates met international standards. The final round recorded a very high rate of students achieving 700 points or more: Nearly 100% in primary school, 77% in secondary school and 82% in high school.
