(Chinhphu.vn) - Hanoi is determined to change the face of the Red River area, connecting and developing the two banks, towards the goal of building a green, modern and sustainable capital.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 5309/QD-UBND on the establishment of a Working Group to direct the implementation of tasks on architectural planning and research and implementation of the Red River Landscape Avenue Investment Project.

According to the Decision, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan was assigned as Head of the Working Group; 2 Deputy Heads are Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture Nguyen Trong Ky Anh and Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Nguyen Xuan Sang.

The members of the Working Group include leaders of many key departments and branches such as: Construction, Planning - Architecture, Department of Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, City Police, Institute of Construction Planning, Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, and representatives of local authorities in Hong Ha area and related wards and communes.

The working group is responsible for directing the review and assessment of the current situation; implementing planning work; proposing investment policies and component projects; removing obstacles related to land, site clearance, resettlement, and at the same time preparing documents and reports to submit to the City Party Committee, City People's Committee, Government and competent authorities.

According to the operating regulations, the Working Group will meet regularly every 2 weeks and can organize special meetings when necessary. The Group Leader has the right to convene and chair meetings and direct the working group to ensure the progress and quality of task implementation.

The decision takes effect from the date of signing. The working group will dissolve itself upon completion of its assigned tasks, marking an important first step in the process of realizing the Red River Landscape Avenue Axis project - a traffic route - green space expected to change the appearance of the riverside area, connecting the development of the two banks, towards the goal of building a green, modern and sustainable capital.

Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned departments, branches and sectors to research and complete the next steps to be able to start the project in early 2026.
