At the ceremony, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc commended the efforts and results of the capital's Education and Training sector, especially the collectives and individuals leading the emulation movements and major campaigns in the 2024-2025 school year.
Along with the whole country, the Capital is entering a new era. The next five years will be a period of striving for Hanoi to become a cultured, civilized, modern city, with a worthy position in the region and the world in the spirit of the Resolution of the 18th City Party Congress as well as the direction of General Secretary To Lam. This is a huge, heavy but also very glorious task. Along with science and technology, the Education and Training sector of the Capital must strive to develop more strongly and firmly, meeting the need to train human resources for development and integration, the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee emphasized.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc affirmed the view that "Investing in education is investing in the future of Hanoi; taking care of education is taking care of the long-term, sustainable development of the Capital. The City Party Committee will soon issue an Action Program to implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthrough in education and training development, strengthen leadership and direction, and create all conditions for the industry to develop breakthroughs. The entire industry needs to clearly define the responsibility of presiding over and advising the City Party Committee and People's Committee on issues related to education and training; review the goals and tasks set out in Resolution 71, compare them with the actual situation in the Capital to develop programs and implementation plans in the spirit of "leading by example". The entire industry has completed the review and supplementation of the school network planning until 2030 and the vision to 2045, ensuring "enough schools, enough classes, enough teachers" to meet the needs learning needs of the capital's people...

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training needs to promote digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence in education, improving digital capacity for teachers and students. The Department builds and deploys smart digital educational applications and tools; coordinates with relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training to advise on the gradual implementation of the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam on computers...
Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son congratulated the honored and rewarded collectives and individuals. The Minister suggested that, faced with many challenges and opportunities of the new development period, the Capital's Education and Training sector should focus on directing and implementing well the contents of Resolution No. 71 and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on "breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation". Hanoi needs to strongly promote its leading and exemplary role to lead and support education nationwide. The Capital's education sector, with its outstanding achievements in spearhead quality, digital transformation and modern governance, must become a center for sharing experiences and technology with other localities.

Along with the socio-economic development of the capital, the education and training sector has made many positive steps forward. The whole city has more than 2.3 million students; nearly 140,000 officials and teachers; 2,954 schools at all levels; 29 vocational education and continuing education centers; Hanoi Education Staff Training School; 352 vocational education establishments. The rate of public schools meeting national standards in the whole city is 80.6%.

Hanoi is the first locality in the country to implement regulations on the mechanism of supporting meals for primary school students in the 2025-2026 school year; receiving 29 vocational education and continuing education centers from districts, towns and cities to ensure smooth and seamless work. In 2025, the city will have 2 more specialized schools, bringing the total number of specialized high schools in Hanoi to 4. The rate of Hanoi students graduating from high school in 2025 is ranked at the top of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. This is the highest result in the past 20 years of Hanoi education...

At the ceremony, 32 groups and 75 individuals were awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals; the Government's Excellent Emulation Flag; and the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit in recognition of their outstanding achievements and exemplary contributions to the education cause.
