Ha Tinh: Two newborn babies abandoned, authorities issue notice to find relatives

The child was taken to Ha Linh Commune Health Station (Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh Province) for examination and health check.

After discovering the baby, people promptly kept the baby warm, reported it to the authorities and took the baby to the medical station for a health check.

Through examination, it was determined that the baby was a boy weighing about 3.4 kg, with a normal body development. It is likely that the baby was born to his mother between the night of May 17 and the early morning of May 18.

The child is currently in good health and is being cared for temporarily by a local household. The local authorities have drawn up a report and issued a notice to find relatives as required.

Earlier, in the early morning of May 13, residents of Xuan Lien commune (Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh ) also discovered a baby girl about 1 week old, abandoned in front of the house gate, along with a plastic basket containing blankets, pillows, 200,000 VND and a handwritten letter. The baby is currently being cared for by a household while waiting for relatives to come and claim her.

Local authorities are coordinating with relevant agencies to widely publicize to verify and protect the children's legal rights according to the law.
