To prevent Tam from acting rashly and destroying other exhibits, security guards approached from a distance, reminded him to go outside, and requested reinforcements. At 12:10 p.m., Tam was subdued. Through camera footage and initial investigation, the authorities determined that at the time of the incident, two security guards, Dang Quang Long and Dao Hoang Vu, were both present at Thai Hoa Palace.

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, confirmed that the support tools for the security forces at Hue Monuments have expired and have been revoked. Since April, the center has had a policy of purchasing support tools but must wait for training on the use of weapons, explosives and support tools according to the provisions of Decree 149 of the Ministry of Public Security .
The Nguyen Dynasty throne located in Thai Hoa Palace is a unique artifact with many historical and cultural values. The throne is 101 cm high, 72 cm wide, and 87 cm long. The base is 118 cm long, 90 cm wide, and 20 cm high. Above the throne is a splendid gilded canopy. All are made of wood painted red and gilded. In January 2016, the throne was recognized as a national treasure.
