On the first day of 2025, the Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. requested units to maintain the operation of 17 salinity control measurement points at many sluice gates on the rivers: Han Mau, Da Vach, Kinh Thay (Kinh Mon); Rang, Mia (Thanh Ha); Lach Tray (Kim Thanh); Luoc, Thai Binh (Tu Ky).

According to information from some district-level Irrigation Exploitation Enterprises in the province, from 6-7:30 a.m. on January 1, salinity measured at the gates of Leu Vit and Cho Dau sluices (Tu Ky) ranged from 1-1.2‰; at Huong and Thuan A sluices (Thanh Ha) ranged from 0.4-1.6‰; at Ba Da, Lo Voi, An Trung, Tu Lac, So, Nghe Ca, Vit sluices (Kinh Mon) ranged from 0.3-0.4‰...

Salinity measurements are carried out at many times of the day to help units proactively take water back into the system, minimizing saltwater intrusion that affects water intake for flooding and irrigation of vegetables in the winter-spring crop of 2024-2025.

The input water source for clean water production at all factories of Hai Duong Clean Water Trading Joint Stock Company is still stable.

Right at the beginning of the new year, clean water supply units also maintained production activities and prepared water supply plans during the dry season.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, General Director of Hai Duong Clean Water Trading Joint Stock Company, said that the company's 10 factories and 13 booster pumping stations have been inspected, maintained, repaired, and upgraded. Up to now, the collection of water from the source and the supply of finished water to the people have not been interrupted. On average, the company supplies about 200,000m3/day and night. The company has also developed a plan to supply water to serve the people during the upcoming Tet holiday.

Previously, on December 31, 2024, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong requested the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, departments, branches, units and related enterprises to organize solutions to ensure water sources for agricultural production and people's lives, prevent and combat drought and saltwater intrusion in the dry season of 2024-2025 under the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue.
