Hai Phong speeds up vaccination progress to prevent measles

NDO - The Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee has just directed departments, branches, sectors, districts and towns to urgently assess the epidemic situation and organize a vaccination campaign according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health , ensuring that there is no measles outbreak.

Accordingly, localities need to implement expanded vaccination, catch-up vaccination, and catch-up vaccination for those who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated, apply vaccination methods appropriate to actual conditions; ensure adequate human resources, funding, supplies, equipment and vaccines to speed up vaccination progress, and complete it by March 2025.

Authorities at all levels are assigned to coordinate with the health sector to review and strictly manage vaccination subjects, not leaving any behind, especially in areas at risk of outbreaks.

In addition, propaganda work will also be stepped up, going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every subject, especially in remote, border and island areas, to mobilize people to vaccinate their children fully and on schedule.

The Hai Phong Department ofEducation and Training directed educational institutions to strengthen measles prevention and control, monitor students' health, immediately notify medical facilities if suspected cases are detected for timely handling, and at the same time encourage parents to take their children for vaccination.
