Hai Phong honors 139 outstanding students in 2024

Attending the ceremony to honor outstanding students were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , central ministries and branches, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of departments and branches of Hai Phong City, localities and a large number of students of the city.

With the theme " Hai Phong students - Bright knowledge, solid skills, building the country", the commendation ceremony is an annual activity of Hai Phong City to commend and honor students with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year and is the 20th year that Hai Phong City has organized the commendation of outstanding students.

Leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and leaders of Hai Phong City awarded and congratulated students who won international prizes.

At the ceremony, 139 outstanding students of the Port City in 2024 were honored, including: 4 students who won prizes in international and regional competitions; 13 students who won the national first prize; 31 students who won the national second prize and 37 students who won the national third prize in the 2023-2024 school year; 31 students who graduated as valedictorians and 23 students who achieved high scores in the High School Graduation Exam and were admitted to universities, colleges, and academies in or outside the country in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam affirmed that Hai Phong is a locality with a tradition of studiousness and good learning; in recent years, Hai Phong City has always paid attention, invested and had many policies to strongly develop the education and training career.

At the commendation ceremony, 139 outstanding students of 2024 were awarded Certificates of Merit and prizes of 10 million VND/student by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Previously, the delegation of outstanding students performed incense offering ceremonies at the Statue of Female General Le Chan (Hong Bang district); Memorial House of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh in An Duong district; Statue of President Ho Chi Minh (Kien An district); Temple and Monument of Cultural Celebrity Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem in Vinh Bao district.
