Ham Thuan Nam: "Skillful mass mobilization" linked to people's interests

Over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of Ham Thuan Nam district have always been united and strived to achieve many important results in all fields. Especially in the emulation movement of skillful mass mobilization, it has appeared in all fields, brought practical results, received support from cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members and people and had a wide influence.

For example, the model of "Mobilizing people to contribute to building traffic roads, lighting - security routes" in group 5, Nam Trung quarter, Thuan Nam town. Previously, this route was a red dirt road, with many "potholes", making it difficult for people here to travel. In addition, the route also borders Tan Lap commune, connecting with the highway and other neighborhoods in the area, so the security situation is complicated, such as frequent loss of electrical wires, motors, motorbikes... From the above difficulties, the locality has mobilized 41 households in group 5 to contribute funds to build a concrete road 1.9km long, 4 - 5.5m wide, and at the same time install a lighting system, security cameras with 13 eyes with a total cost of 2.15 billion VND. During the campaign, receiving enthusiastic response from the people, the model was quickly completed and put into use, ensuring safety for the people, no theft occurred in the area, contributing to joining hands with the locality to build the road, striving with the town to meet civilized urban standards.

Or the model of "Providing free rice and porridge for patients treated at Ham Thuan Nam District Medical Center" implemented by the district Red Cross has created connections with sponsors and maintained the model. Up to now, 17 organizations and individuals have participated in providing rice with 19 lunches, providing an average of 110 - 115 meals per day and 2 organizations providing porridge every morning with a total value of 504 million VND. Currently, the model is still being maintained very effectively and is expected to be replicated at Ham Can Clinic (Ham Can commune).

Based on the leadership and direction documents of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio- political organizations, Party committees, localities, and units in the district have promptly disseminated and implemented the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement to all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members and people. Accordingly, in 2024, Party committees and Party cells of units in the district have deployed the development of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models, resulting in 79 models registered for implementation, including 75 collective models and 4 individual models. Notably, the development of models in the implementation of the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement in Ham Thuan Nam district is associated with promoting "Studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh" and the emulation movements "All people unite to build a cultural life"; "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas"; "Veterans compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"... Through reviewing and evaluating the implementation of the models, grassroots Party committees held meetings to consider and recognize 62 models (60 groups, 2 individuals) that met the standards of the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model at the grassroots level. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee recognized 11 district-level models and proposed the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to consider and recognize 3 "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models at the provincial level in 2024.

According to the assessment, the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models in Ham Thuan Nam have brought profound humanistic values, effectively promoted in practice, helping people's lives become better and better. Therefore, in the coming time, the Party Committee and Party organizations in the district will strengthen the direction of building the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model, pay attention to nurturing and expanding typical collective and individual models in emulation movements; promptly commend and propose the authorities at the same level to reward typical models. Focus on building and developing models and typical "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in difficult and complicated places, ethnic minority areas, religious areas, in administrative reform, building a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus to serve the people...
