Restricting boat traffic on Tam Bac River

Waterway traffic across the Tam Bac River is prohibited from 7am on November 21 to 5pm on November 29 to serve geological survey drilling for the project to develop a city adapting to climate change.

Hai Phong Department of Construction announced the restriction of traffic on the Tam Bac River inland waterway to serve geological survey drilling and prepare a feasibility study report for the Project "Developing Hai Phong City to Adapt to Climate Change".

Accordingly, the traffic restriction period lasts from 7:00 a.m. on November 21 to 5:00 p.m. on November 29, 2025. The scope of application is from km 0 to km 2 of the Tam Bac inland waterway, from the Dao Ha Ly river junction to Thuy Doi junction in Hong Bang ward.

During this time, all watercraft are prohibited from passing through the survey drilling area. When approaching the construction area, the vehicle must wait at a safe location and is only allowed to continue its journey after the restriction period has expired and all traffic safety conditions are fully ensured.

Vehicle owners and boat operators must strictly comply with the inland waterway signaling system installed at the scene and strictly comply with the provisions of the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic.
