This event is part of a series of Vietnam Local Weeks/Days that take place regularly at the Vietnam Exhibition House within the framework of the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition (from April 13 to October 13).
Quang Ninh Week at EXPO 2025 includes many activities such as video screenings and photo exhibitions introducing the province's attractive tourist destinations, displaying unique and high-quality local OCOP products, introducing tea ceremonies, business forums, etc. It is expected that with the number of visitors to the Vietnam Exhibition House from 8,000 to more than 10,000 per day, there will be nearly 40,000 Japanese and international visitors to view and learn about images and information about Quang Ninh province within the framework of the Week. Among them, there are many business representatives looking for opportunities to connect and cooperate with Vietnamese businesses. On the first day of the Week, under the connection of the Vietnam Exhibition House, a tea business in Quang Ninh met with a partner from Singapore and has the opportunity to sign a contract to supply tea in large quantities.
Ms. Bui Thuy Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, said that Quang Ninh Week at EXPO 2025 is an opportunity to introduce to international friends an image of Quang Ninh converging the values of "heritage - innovation - integration - sustainable development". Quang Ninh wishes to strengthen cooperation with Japanese localities, especially the Kansai region; at the same time, invite strategic investors in priority areas such as smart tourism, clean energy, processing and manufacturing industry...
According to Ms. Bui Thuy Phuong, Quang Ninh currently has 218 FDI projects, of which 15 are from Japan. Japan is also one of the leading strategic partners with the presence of many large, high-tech enterprises such as Sumitomo, JFE Steel... Ms. Bui Thuy Phuong emphasized that with modern infrastructure, transparent investment environment, streamlined administrative procedures, and a young, highly specialized workforce, Quang Ninh is committed to always accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for international partners, especially investors from Japan.
Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Deputy Representative General of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 also said that EXPO 2025 Osaka with the theme "Designing the future society for our lives" is an extremely meaningful global forum, where countries share their visions, introduce achievements and seek solutions to common challenges of humanity. "The Vietnam Exhibition House is the door that opens for international friends to better understand the country, people, culture and development potential of Vietnam", said Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang.
EXPO 2025 is also the first World Exhibition in which the Vietnam Exhibition House, operated by the Department of International Cooperation, will implement a special program: Introducing typical localities of Vietnam in turn through many different forms, in which coordinating with localities to organize Local Week/Day at EXPO 2025 is expected to attract much attention, introduce and effectively promote the image and strengths of the locality, creating opportunities for investment connection and cooperation for local businesses with potential Japanese and international partners from more than 150 countries participating in EXPO 2025.
Previously, in April 2025, the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City organized an event to announce the Hue National Tourism Year 2025. After Quang Ninh, in June, Quang Nam and Binh Phuoc will be the next localities to coordinate with the Exhibition House to deploy activities to promote culture, tourism, and investment at EXPO 2025.
