On November 12, Vietnam Airports Corporation announced that recently, large and important equipment at the passenger terminal of Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh airport) has been transported to the construction site and installed simultaneously. To date, many equipments have been basically installed.

In recent days, the first set of 64 sets of telescopic bridges to be installed at the Long Thanh airport passenger terminal has been brought to the construction site. Before being installed, the telescopic bridges will be thoroughly inspected by the contractor's team of experts and engineers to ensure they meet technical standards.

The cabin, an important part of the telescopic tube, is brought to the construction site, ready for assembly.

To lift and install the telescopic bridges, the contractor has mobilized 2 cranes with a capacity of 140 tons to the construction site. The lifting of the telescopic bridges for installation will be carried out in stages. At each raised height, experts and engineers will continue to check the technical factors. When raised to the appropriate height, the telescopic bridges will be connected and assembled with the cabin. After the systems are assembled and connected synchronously, the telescopic bridges will be installed into the steel structure system of the telescopic bridge area that was previously constructed.

At the Long Thanh airport passenger terminal area, contractors are also speeding up the installation and completion of the baggage handling system; escalators, stairways; elevators. Also in the passenger terminal equipment installation category, the contractor has brought the baggage screening machines to the construction site, preparing for installation. The aircraft docking system has completed fabrication and has been transported to the construction site.

Long Thanh Airport is built on an area of ​​5,000 hectares, in Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province. When all phases are completed, the airport will have a capacity of 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year. Currently, Long Thanh Airport is simultaneously implementing large bidding packages, units are mobilizing about 17,000 workers and construction machinery day and night, ensuring project progress. In particular, the passenger terminal, the most important item at Long Thanh Airport, has nearly 6,000 workers and construction machinery. Currently, the terminal has basically completed the rough construction and installation of steel structures and glass walls.
