The final round of the 24th Road to Olympia program was a competition between 4 male students, including Tran Trung Kien (Le Hong Phong High School, Phu Yen province, with a 235-point victory in the first quarter competition); Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh (Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai province, the laurel wreath winner in the second quarter with 250 points); Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Hue, won the third quarter competition with 185 points) and Nguyen Nguyen Phu ( Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, won the fourth quarter competition with 215 points).
In the final match that took place this morning, Vo Quang Phu Duc led in all 4 rounds with a final score of 220 points.
At the final televised meeting point of the 24th Road to Olympia in Hue City, held right in front of Ngo Mon Gate, Hue Imperial City, with more than 8,000 fans who are students and teachers of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted and other high schools in Hue City.
At this point, fans used conical hats to create the red flag with a yellow star symbol to cheer for Vo Quang Phu Duc. After 4 thrilling and suspenseful rounds, Vo Quang Phu Duc reached the finish line and won the laurel wreath, causing thousands of fans, students, teachers, and people in the ancient capital of Hue to burst into joy and emotion.
It is known that Vo Quang Phu Duc is the 7th student of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted to participate in the intellectual competition Road to Olympia.
Before entering the final competition of the 24th Road to Olympia, Vo Quang Phu Duc diligently practiced, cultivated, researched, and consolidated his knowledge and competition skills with a confident, comfortable, and optimistic mentality.
Teacher Nguyen Phu Tho , Principal of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue, said that Duc was a student of Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, a high-quality school in Hue.
When he first entered Quoc Hoc Hue, Duc showed his talent for Math and was a student specializing in Math at the school, and was once a reserve for the Math team to compete in the national excellent student competition. However, Duc then focused on investing in the Red Laurel program to diligently train and practice to participate in the Road to Olympia competition and reached the finals of this competition.
Over the past 11 years, Vo Quang Phu Duc has been a student with many high academic achievements. Before leaving for Hanoi to attend the final round of Road to Olympia, Duc shared: “Participating in Road to Olympia has been my dream since I was a child and reaching the final round is my happiness. Therefore, I try harder and harder to compete with a relaxed spirit, without putting pressure on myself in the hope of achieving the highest score.”
