The play has just been reviewed and will be performed on the evening of May 17 at the 5B Drama Theater. Not only is she the director, artist Hanh Thuy is also the author and plays the role of Nga in the play.

Jealousy has a hundred ways

Jealousy revolves around the story of family and the feelings of women who are classmates.

There, Chi's family makes a mess every morning. Chi pretends to be tired so that her husband will pamper and take care of her.

Then a series of unwarranted questions: Why is there a stain on your shirt? Why are you 5 minutes late from work? Who did you have lunch with, male or female colleagues?

Every morning was like a battle and ended in tears. Not only that, Chi also installed a GPS tracker on her husband and ended up getting into a fight, causing the already unstable family relationship to explode.

On the other side is Van's family. Van expressed absolute trust in her husband and devoted herself to the family. But one day she discovered that he had someone else, she was hurt but calmly and quietly resolved the matter.

It seems that with Ghen , Hanh Thuy is exposing a social reality, the current state of marriage and family. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, people easily have relationships outside of their marriage.

Being jealous and doing foolish things, destroying things or being jealous in a subtle way to preserve things is ultimately each person's choice.

As a woman, it is sometimes difficult to choose the right way to behave when your heart is full of storms. How can jealousy keep the way for the one who has gone astray to return?

People say jealousy is the spice of love, but in some situations it is not an easy spice to taste. Love will have jealousy, but jealousy that leads to hurt for both the jealous and the jealous is truly dangerous. And at that time, jealousy is no longer a spice, it is… dynamite!

It is not only women who are responsible for keeping the family together.

At the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Festival last year, Hanh Thuy staged the play Nhung Canh Hoa Trinh Trang for her students to compete in and surprisingly won the festival's silver medal.

However, it took a long time for Hanh Thuy to return to the role of director after the play " Dan ong, who are you?" on Hoang Thai Thanh Stage.

Explaining her long absence, Hanh Thuy shared with Tuoi Tre Online that she was too busy with studying for a master's degree, teaching schedule, film schedule...

During that time, besides Ghen , she also slowly wrote a few more scripts but left them there. Today, with the strong urging of artist My Uyen, along with the summer, the teaching schedule was relaxed, and the filming time had not come yet, so Thuy immediately started working on Ghen .

"It's been a long time since I've directed a play on stage, so I feel a bit excited. I wrote "Ghen " about 4 or 5 years ago. Now that I've started to produce it, I've edited and updated it quite a bit to make it more suitable.

Through the play, I want to send some of my thoughts to the audience. Sometimes, when something happens, people still blame women for not knowing how to keep their husbands and not knowing how to take care of their families.

I think the responsibility of maintaining happiness and family is not only for women, but also for both husband and wife.

I also want to express and hope to have the audience share: How can women be happy, jealous or not jealous? How to be jealous?..." - Hanh Thuy pondered.

Because the time to stage the play is not much, Hanh Thuy hopes that through each performance, she will gradually perfect every aspect of the play, especially emphasizing and deepening the psychology of each character.

The role of Nga in the play will be shared by Hanh Thuy and My Uyen. Ghen also features artists Bao Trung, Minh Thao, Ky Thien Canh, Le Be La, Hong Dao, Quoc Cuong, Huyen Tran...
