The meeting announced the number and list of delegates of the 10th term People's Council of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term after the merger, including 80 delegates; announced the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee appointing Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Pham Van Thieu to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; appointing Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Tan Bay, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Nhung, Provincial Party Committee member Phan Hoang Vu to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council.
At the same time, Ms. Vu Hong Nhu Yen was appointed to hold the position of Head of the Economic and Budget Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Huynh Dao to hold the position of Head of the Cultural and Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
The meeting announced the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Ca Mau province on appointing 15 members of the Provincial People's Committee and approving the Deputy Heads of the Legal, Economic and Budgetary, and Cultural - Social Committees of the Provincial People's Council.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai congratulated and requested the comrades assigned to leadership positions of the People's Council to promote their sense of responsibility to the highest level, strive together with the Provincial People's Council, well implement the functions and tasks of the People's Council according to the provisions of law, gradually improve, increasingly enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and actively contribute to the overall development of the province.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that this session opens a historic journey for the People's Council of Ca Mau province, with many advantages and also many difficulties and challenges.
"In the spirit of thoroughly grasping the directive documents of the Central and Provincial Party Committees, with the efforts, striving, promoting the capacity and strengths of the leaders of the People's Council and delegates of the Provincial People's Council, in the spirit of the common interest, I believe that the Provincial People's Council will fulfill its tasks well in the coming time," said the Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee.
