In recent years, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has become a vibrant emulation movement, spreading strongly throughout the health sector.

Each medical unit has concretized the content of learning from Uncle Ho with practical solutions such as improving medical ethics, innovating service style, professional quality, focusing on developing grassroots healthcare, all aimed at the goal of providing the best service to patients.

At Phuc Yen Regional General Hospital, the spirit of learning and following Uncle Ho is clearly demonstrated in every professional activity. Recently, the hospital's Neonatal Department admitted a pregnant woman, Hang Thi De, from Moc Chau town, Son La province, who was admitted with placenta previa bleeding at 29 weeks of pregnancy.

Her family lives far away, her husband works in Laos, and there are no relatives nearby, but as soon as she entered the hospital, the pregnant woman De was given an emergency cesarean section and attentive care by the doctors.

The premature baby boy weighed only 1.1 kg and suffered from severe respiratory failure. However, thanks to the efforts and dedicated care of the doctors and nurses, he is now able to breathe on his own, his health is improving and he is expected to be discharged in the next few days.

Doctor CKII Luu Thi Hong Quyen, Head of the Department of Neonatology at Phuc Yen Regional General Hospital, said: “Treating premature babies requires meticulousness, precision and perseverance in every stage of care. The Department of Neonatology always focuses on in-depth training for staff, coordinating smoothly between obstetrics and neonatology to provide timely emergency care, limiting the need to transfer serious cases. That is also how we carry out Uncle Ho's teachings through our daily actions, making every effort for the sick.”

Moved by the fact that her child was saved, the mother Hang Thi De shared: “I work far away from my family and was in danger when I was about to give birth, but the doctors here helped my child and I get through the critical period. The doctors and nurses are very dedicated and thoughtful, making me feel warm and at home. I am truly grateful to the medical team at the hospital for taking care of both mother and child.”

Not only having good expertise, Phuc Yen Regional General Hospital also pays special attention to service attitude, considering patient satisfaction as an important measure to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment.

With those efforts, the hospital has been repeatedly commended and recognized as an advanced and excellent labor collective by the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Health and other levels and sectors.

At the Provincial Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, learning and following Uncle Ho's example is clearly demonstrated through the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and patient-centered service.

With the motto "Professional - Dedicated - Effective", the hospital has deployed many specialized techniques in the fields of obstetrics, pediatrics and reproductive support, contributing to improving the quality of treatment and limiting referrals.

In 2024, the hospital successfully performed in vitro fertilization (IVF), welcoming the first baby born entirely through IVF at the hospital, opening up hope for many infertile couples.

Along with that, the hospital has effectively provided emergency care and treatment for many serious and critical cases, such as saving the life of a 23-year-old pregnant woman in Tam Dao district who suffered from umbilical cord embolism at 28 weeks of pregnancy; successfully treating a child with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome; successfully caring for and raising many premature and low-weight babies...

The hospital also promotes improvements in medical examination and treatment processes, applies information technology, improves service quality, and puts patients at the center. During epidemics, the medical team is always on the front line, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility.

The entire provincial health sector has achieved many outstanding results. Disease prevention and control work and national health programs have been implemented effectively and sustainably.

Currently, the provincial health sector has completed the goal of eliminating leprosy at the district level; focusing on preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases and ensuring food safety and hygiene.

100% of medical stations provide health insurance examination and treatment, more than 97% of people have their personal health managed. To date, 5/16 public medical facilities have implemented electronic medical records, with a satisfaction rate of over 90%.

Medical infrastructure continues to be invested synchronously, the network is streamlined and efficient. Many specialized centers have been established such as the Cardiovascular Center, the Oncology - Nuclear Medicine Center (Provincial General Hospital), the Reproductive Support Center (Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital) ... contributing to improving the capacity to treat complex diseases at the provincial level.

Training, technology transfer, and mobilization of young cadres to the grassroots level are focused on, meeting the increasingly better needs of people's health care.

The efforts and contributions of the medical staff and the entire health sector have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, government and people in the province.

Many collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Health, the Provincial People's Committee and noble awards from the Party and State, becoming the motivation for the provincial health sector to continue to dedicate and wholeheartedly serve the sick.
