Revealing a Vietnamese animated film that dares to compete with Tom Cruise's 10,000 billion blockbuster

After a year and a half of production, the Vietnamese animated film Trang Quynh nhi: The Legend of Kim Nguu released its first teaser trailer and set a nationwide release date of May 30, 2025, the same day as Tom Cruise's 10,000 billion Mission Impossible 8.

"Trang Quynh nhi" and "Mission Impossible 8" will be released in Vietnamese theaters from May 30.

The 46-second clip takes the audience into the ancient Khoai village, meeting the clever and mischievous little Trang Quynh. The series of images following the teaser show Quynh, along with Trau and his friends Coi Nhi, Bi Map, and Muoi facing many storms and being fiercely pursued by the soldiers.

The constantly lurking dangers are revealed, signaling an exciting and challenging journey for the group of friends. Through this, the characters together learn many lessons about life, learn to accept each other's differences and unite in the face of every difficulty.

Inspired by the familiar character Trang Quynh in countless folk tales passed down from ancient times, the director innovates and builds the main character in Trang Quynh nhi: The Legend of Kim Nguu as a brave, sincere boy with sharp intelligence, associated with strange challenges on the big screen.

In the film, director Trinh Lam Tung recreates the typical Northern countryside setting such as banyan trees, water wharves, lotus ponds, communal house yards, etc. The companionship between the boy Quynh and the buffalo with special abilities is inspired by the legend of the god Kim Nguu, and depicts the close bond between farmers and buffaloes in the countryside, both in work and in daily life.

Little Trang Quynh: The Legend of the Taurus is developed from the popular animated series about the young Trang Quynh on YouTube. Since its release, the series with the little Quynh has become a favorite spiritual food for many children and families.
