Current status of the 'forgotten' park project for nearly 3 decades in Ha Dong

TPO - Approved since 1998, but until now the Ha Dong District Cultural - Recreational, Entertainment and Sports Park Project is still an empty lot surrounded by corrugated iron on all sides. Inside the project area are scattered construction materials because the units moved but "forgot" to return the site.

The Ha Dong Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park Project was approved by the People's Committee of the former Ha Tay province for planning in Ha Cau and Kien Hung wards in 1998, with an area of ​​about 98 hectares.

The Project construction site is in Ha Cau ward, Kien Hung ward (Ha Dong district). The total area of ​​land for detailed planning research is about 950,128m2.

According to approval, the planned traffic land area outside the park is about 23,088m2, the relic land area is 1,687m2, the current cultural construction land area is about 734m2. The planned land area for park construction is about 924,619m2.

Previously, many units had rented the project’s premises to build restaurants and service areas. After public opinion spoke up, Ha Dong district requested the units renting the premises to move out of the project.

In November 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a Decision approving the detailed planning project of the Ha Dong Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park, scale 1/500. Currently, Ha Dong district has directed specialized agencies to coordinate with the city's departments and branches to prepare a report proposing the project policy to submit to the District People's Council for approval as soon as possible.

However, after many years, the project has not been implemented yet.

By November 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a Decision approving the detailed planning project of the Ha Dong Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park, scale 1/500.

According to the People's Committee of Ha Dong district, after approving the detailed 1/500 planning, the district will implement the project using the district budget.

Now that the planning has been completed, the district has directed specialized agencies to coordinate with the city's departments and branches to prepare a report proposing the project policy to submit to the District People's Council for approval as soon as possible.

Currently, the Ha Dong District People's Committee's Construction Investment Project Management Board is coordinating with a number of units to organize a competition for architectural design plans for project items. The plan of the unit that wins the first prize will be selected to implement and construct the project.
