The effectiveness of the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model

These days, along the main road connecting Thanh Ha area, Vo Mieu commune, Thanh Son district, spanning over 2.3km, residents are urgently cutting down trees and donating land on both sides of the road to hand over the site to the local authorities for upgrading and widening the road and sidewalks.

Thanks to effective public relations work, the section of road on the main axis of the Thanh Ha area connecting to other areas has been cleared for upgrading and expansion.

Mr. Vu Van Chao, a resident of Thanh Ha area who actively donated land for the upgrading and expansion of the road, said: "This road used to be narrow and dilapidated, making travel difficult, and traffic volume was increasing. Since the government decided to upgrade and expand the road to 3.5 meters, my family has voluntarily donated nearly 500 square meters of hillside forest land to contribute to the upgrading and expansion of the road, creating favorable conditions for people to travel..."

With the coordinated efforts of the political system in propaganda and mobilization for the land donation movement to expand roads in some residential areas, the movement has received the consensus and positive response of the people. Recognizing the benefits of expanding transportation infrastructure, households living along the road have unanimously cut down trees and reduced the area of ​​their residential land, garden land, and agricultural land to donate land.

In 2024, the People's Mobilization Committee of Vo Mieu commune propagated and mobilized the people to jointly upgrade and expand 16 rural roads with a total length of over 5km, worth over 4 billion VND; and donated over 30,000m2 of agricultural land to build 18 internal field roads and irrigation canals. The people in the commune participated in building and beautifying roads, planting and regularly caring for flowers, cleaning the environment, and clearing drainage ditches to create a clean and beautiful landscape in residential areas with 2,500 man-days of labor. In addition, Vo Mieu commune also mobilized resources to build 9 new cultural houses, repair 7 cultural houses; renovate, upgrade, and purchase equipment for cultural houses in 20 residential areas; install a lighting system with 1,400 light bulbs and 46 security cameras with a total value of over 7.7 billion VND, of which 6 billion VND was contributed through social mobilization...

Along with the "National Unity for Building New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign, the "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement and the "Gratitude and Repayment" movement have been widely implemented among the people, with active participation from numerous officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life, yielding practical results. In addition, the locality has strengthened the dissemination and education of laws among the people; mobilized the masses to participate in the fight against crime and social evils, thereby maintaining security and order in the commune.

Comrade Ha Van Thao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vo Mieu commune, said: Based on the actual situation in the locality and the State's policies and guidelines in all fields, the commune has selected and registered suitable models of effective mass mobilization and implemented them. Residential areas have launched emulation movements to build model new rural areas, contributing to the construction of advanced new rural communes, mobilizing people to participate in donating land for road construction, contributing labor and money to upgrade, repair, and beautify the grounds of the community cultural house, village roads, and irrigation canals to serve production and family economic development... In addition, the "Effective Mass Mobilization" models in various fields continue to be maintained and operate effectively. To date, the percentage of cultured families has reached 94.5%, 20 out of 20 residential areas have achieved the status of cultured residential areas, and the poverty rate has decreased to 2.84%.
