Opened in 2019, the resort combined with the experience of Mr. Tran Quoc Chinh's family is a favorite destination for many domestic and international tourists. With a love of nature and a desire to preserve traditional cultural values, Mr. Chinh has turned his large garden into a unique eco- tourism experience.
Following the green acacia hills running along both sides of the small road in Hamlet 8, Gia Sinh Commune, visitors will come to a farm of more than 5 hectares called “Bai Dinh Jungle Farm”. True to its name, this place is like a zoo with countless different pets, bringing visitors a cool, fresh and quiet space.
Mr. Tran Quoc Chinh, the farm owner, said: On an area of over 5 hectares, I have arranged areas for growing fruit trees and livestock barns. When coming here, visitors can pick and enjoy local specialty fruits such as grapefruit, mango, and jackfruit.
In addition, visitors can also participate in activities of caring for and feeding animals and enjoy local specialties. Currently, the experience area has thousands of animals such as rabbits, horses, goats, sheep, pheasants, jungle fowl, pigeons, deer, etc.
Ms. Tran Thu Phuong, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: Today, my teachers and I went to Ninh Binh for sightseeing and tourism, including experiencing the agriculture here. When we arrived here, the children were able to feed the livestock themselves, and for the first time saw animals such as guinea pigs, horses, and sheep, so they were extremely excited and delighted.
Mr. Chinh added: “The farm is open free of charge to all visitors as well as students who want to visit and experience agricultural activities. I hope this place will become an interesting destination, contributing to diversifying the journey of tourists when coming to Gia Vien, bringing fresh air, close to nature to everyone”.
Not only the experience area, but also the accommodation and resort area serving tourists, Mr. Chinh also designed a friendly space, close to nature to the maximum. Here, he dedicated a large land fund for gardens, outdoor playgrounds, swimming pools, miniature landscapes, and fish ponds. Therefore, the space is always cool with lots of trees and flowers.
Mr. Chinh said: When building the resort, I prioritized choosing environmentally friendly materials such as bamboo, wood, ceramics, and porcelain; limiting the use of plastic bags as well as disposable plastic items. Therefore, not only the staff and workers but also the tourists are very responsive and have a common awareness in preserving the landscape and natural environment.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Gia Sinh commune commented: Mr. Tran Quoc Chinh is an exemplary member of the Association, not only dynamic, creative, and innovative in economic development, he is also active and exemplary in leading movements to protect the environment, practice a cultural lifestyle, and civilized tourism.
In 2024, his model was selected by the District Farmers' Association as the "Environmentally Friendly Tourism" model. Not only does it bring in high profits with tens of billions of VND in revenue, the model also creates stable jobs for more than 50 local workers with an income of 5-8 million VND/person/month.
With his efforts, Mr. Chinh was voted as a good farmer and businessman at all levels; received many certificates of merit from the Association at all levels, and Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee for his outstanding achievements in the production and business movement.
The success of Mr. Tran Quoc Chinh with the model of “Environmentally friendly tourism” is a proof that ecotourism not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to environmental protection and community development. To develop sustainable tourism, it is necessary to replicate such effective ecotourism models, and at the same time have appropriate support policies to encourage people to participate in ecotourism activities.
