This event is part of a series of scientific research activities under the "Flow of Time" Project, recently implemented by Xherozone Group and Dai Nam Feng Shui Ecosystem, to fulfill its heartfelt mission of preserving documentary, cultural, artistic, architectural, and feng shui heritage while honoring and promoting these values in the future.

In his opening remarks at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trong Manh stated that, building on the success of the workshop "Historical Development of Culture, Architecture, Feng Shui, and Fine Arts from the 10th to the 14th Centuries," today's workshop brings together experts and researchers with in-depth expertise in fields such as history, culture, architecture, feng shui, and archaeology, along with reputable scholars... All are working together on the path of preserving and safeguarding Vietnamese cultural and architectural values.
“The convergence of experts from various fields enriches the research content. At the same time, perspectives from history, culture, and architecture will help us better understand the role of worship spaces in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people,” said Mr. Nguyen Trong Manh.
At the conference, experts and researchers discussed the sacred values of worship spaces and traditional churches – places that embody profound humanistic values and the rich heritage of the Vietnamese people.

Ancestral temples and shrines are not only places for performing worship rituals but also symbols of filial piety, cultural centers, and bonds between generations within a family lineage. Throughout the nation's history, many prominent families have contributed to the formation and development of Vietnamese culture.
Historian Duong Trung Quoc affirmed that the conference's theme is a highlight of the "Flow of Time" project. While addressing religious culture, it specifically focuses on the architecture of churches and the spaces for ancestral worship within Vietnamese clans.
"This theme conveys many meaningful messages, especially in Vietnamese cultural life in general and religious culture in particular, expressing filial piety towards ancestors and cherishing sacred values in the hearts of each person. The flow of time never waits, and within it lie profound layers of cultural sediment, connecting generations," historian Duong Trung Quoc commented.

The workshop provided an opportunity to consult with experts on the research topic "Culture, beliefs, and architecture of ancestral temples and worship spaces of Vietnamese clans throughout history"; and to finalize the research project "The Flow of Time". According to historian Duong Trung Quoc, based on the opinions of experts, the organizing committee will develop a research outline from various perspectives to gradually clarify and refine the issues raised at the workshop in a scientific, systematic, and thorough manner.
At the workshop, experts and researchers provided feedback on the draft study "Culture of beliefs and architecture of churches and ancestral worship spaces of Vietnamese clans throughout history".
The specific topics discussed and analyzed include: Ancestor worship culture and lineage traditions through the dynasties; Selection of representative lineages through the feudal dynasties of Vietnam; Selection of prominent figures/representatives of lineages through the feudal dynasties of Vietnam; Traditional ancestral temples and shrines from architectural and historical perspectives; Support for exploiting Sino-Vietnamese source materials: inscriptions, horizontal plaques, couplets, genealogies, etc.

The opinions and advice of scientists and researchers will contribute to guiding and supplementing the scientific basis of the tradition of ancestral worship in Vietnam from historical, documentary, cultural, religious, architectural, and feng shui perspectives.
This provides a scientific basis that helps the Organizing Committee preserve and conserve the traces of documentary, cultural, architectural, and feng shui heritage in the tradition of ancestral worship, while also contributing to honoring and spreading profound humanistic meanings and values in social life, maintaining and further promoting the Vietnamese people's tradition of remembering the source of the water they drink.
The "Flow of Time" project is a research and systematization project that examines the historical, cultural, architectural, and artistic values, especially the science of feng shui, of the feudal dynasties from the 10th to the 19th centuries. The project not only preserves the material and spiritual cultural heritage of our ancestors for future generations but also helps to spread positive values and inspire the community in preserving the cultural and architectural traditions of the nation.
The project has successfully recreated historical traces, systematically organizing and compiling material and spiritual cultural heritage through the cultural, architectural, feng shui, and artistic heritage of five Vietnamese feudal dynasties: Ngo, Dinh, Le, Ly, and Tran, in a comprehensive and scientific manner, and continues to research and study subsequent periods in history. In particular, the project focuses on researching the preservation and conservation of documentary, cultural, architectural, and feng shui heritage traces within the traditional ancestral worship practices in Vietnam.
