HUFLIT Principal: “AI cannot have conscience and ethics”

On October 30 and 31, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology (HUFLIT) held a graduation ceremony and awarded master's and bachelor's degrees in 2025 to 10 new masters and 1,543 new bachelors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Principal of HUFLIT, sent the new graduates a meaningful message about their journey to adulthood. He said that the graduation ceremony is not only a solemn ceremony but also a "highlight, a proud declaration of maturity". Today's achievements, according to Mr. Tuan, are the crystallization of efforts and beliefs - from dedicated teachers, parents who silently sacrifice, friends who accompany, to the school that has given wings to dreams.

Sharing with students, HUFLIT Principal emphasized: "Life is not a sprint but a very long marathon. Sometimes when you are tired, stop and rest; sometimes when you fall, get up. But do not give up, because on the road to success there are no footprints of quitters. Success is not for the perfect but for the resilient."

Referring to the digital age, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that in a world filled with artificial intelligence (AI), "Emotional intelligence and creativity will be the core competitive advantage." He affirmed: "AI can write code, can translate, but it cannot have compassion, cannot create a soul-stirring work of art, and most importantly, cannot have conscience and ethics like humans."

From there, he sent a message to the new graduates: Consider AI as wings to fly high, but to fly high, you need to have ambition - that is humanity, a serving attitude, a sense of responsibility and integrity that HUFLIT has instilled in each student.

According to information from HUFLIT, out of a total of 1,543 new graduates this year, 10 students were awarded for their excellent academic achievements, including 7 students who graduated with all-around honors and 3 students who studied ahead of schedule and graduated ahead of schedule.
