Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway toll increase from November 1

Afternoon October 30, Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (CII) has just announced information to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, regarding the increase in road service prices at the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway BOT project, phase 1.

The project investor said that based on Decision No. 1069/QD-UBND dated October 10, 2025 of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the road service price at the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway construction investment project phase 1 under the BOT contract form (phased investment phase) will be adjusted to increase from November 1, 2025.

According to the new price list, the road usage fee on the Trung Luong – My Thuan Expressway (excluding VAT) will increase simultaneously for all 5 groups of vehicles. This adjustment ranges from nearly 8% to 15%, with an average increase of about 10.8% for the entire route.

Specifically, group 1 includes vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks under 2 tons and public passenger buses with the highest increase, from 1,818 VND to 2,091 VND per km, equivalent to about 15%. Group 2 includes vehicles with 12 to 30 seats and trucks from 2 tons to under 4 tons, also increasing by 15%, from 2,727 VND to 3,136 VND per km.

Meanwhile, group 3, including vehicles with 31 seats or more and trucks from 4 to under 10 tons, increased slightly, about 8%, from VND3,182 to VND3,436/km.

Two larger vehicle groups also saw similar increases. Group 4: Trucks from 10 to under 18 tons and containers under 40 feet increased by 7.99%, from VND4,091 to VND4,418/km.

Group 5 includes trucks from 18 tons or more and containers from 40 feet or more, increasing by about 8%, from VND5,909 to VND6,382/km.

New road service prices , excluding VAT , will increase in all 5 vehicle groups compared to current prices, specifically:

The investor believes that this adjustment is necessary to ensure the financial efficiency of the BOT project, when maintenance, operation and capital recovery costs are all increasing. With increasing traffic volume, the new revenue is expected to help increase revenue by about 130 billion VND per year, while contributing to maintaining the quality of operation of the key expressway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta provinces.

Trung Luong – My Thuan Expressway, part of the North – South Expressway system in the East (code CT.01), is a key traffic route of the Mekong Delta region.

The expressway is designed with 4 lanes, 17 m wide roadbed, 16 m wide road surface, maximum speed 90 km/h (increased from 80 km/h from November 2023). However, the route does not have continuous emergency lanes, but only arranges technical stops 4-5 km apart.
