Right after the two semi-final matches ended, the organizing committee of the 2025 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament held a press conference before the final match.

The final match of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament will be a competition between the Southern representative Sacombank and the Northern representative Vietnam Banking Trade Union. The match will take place at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, November 2, at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately after the semi-final match on the morning of November 2, the coaches and players of both teams attended a press conference to share information about the squad situation and preparations for the final match in the afternoon of the same day.

Sacombank: "We will fight with 200% strength"

Having just won convincingly against Sawaco in the semi-finals, representatives of Sacombank Club entered the press conference in high spirits.

Sacombank team head coach Nguyen Tuan Em could not hide his joy: "The first feeling is very happy. Making it to the finals was really beyond the expectations of the whole team. This is the result of the determination, solidarity and great efforts of the players."

Player Tran Thanh Trung also agreed: "As the coach shared, we were determined and performed well in the matches to be here."

When asked about the significance of the match, Sacombank coach affirmed: "Once on the field, we are always in the mindset of giving our all for the country's flag. Therefore, this afternoon in the final match, we will try our best to keep the cup in the South."

In particular, the memory of the defeat in last year's final is still intact and has become a great motivation for Sacombank.

"In last year's final, we lost in the final minutes. Therefore, this time, we will play with 200% of our strength and determination," Coach Tuan Em emphasized.

Vietnam Banking Union: Overcoming a tough competition schedule

On the other side of the front line, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union team under the leadership of coach Nguyen Quoc Long (former player of Hanoi T&T) and captain Nguyen Anh Son (Son “Muller”) also expressed pride and joy.

Coach Nguyen Quoc Long shared: "Entering a tough tournament like this year, having to play 2 matches every day, the players' physical strength was greatly worn out. But with the determination of the whole team, we won a worthy ticket to the final match. The players and I feel very happy and proud."

Captain Anh Son elaborated on the difficulties the team had gone through: "This tournament was really tough. Even though it took place on the weekend, having to compete for 3 consecutive days, 2 sessions a day, especially having to go through the intense quarter-final match yesterday afternoon, the physical strength and condition of the players were greatly affected."

However, the spirit of the Vietnam Banking Union is still very high. "With all the determination of the brothers, we won the ticket to the final match. The players are very proud of that," Son said.

Looking ahead to the final match, the captain of the Vietnam Banking Union showed respect for his opponent but was also full of confidence: "This afternoon, we will have to face a very strong Sacombank. Therefore, we will try our best to bring glory to the Vietnam Banking Union."

The 2025 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper , Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , and Vietnam Football Federation for the third consecutive year.

Entering the 2025 season, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual, prestigious playground for workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country; contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.

This year's tournament is honored to receive the support of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO), Dong Luc Sports Group, HTP Pharmaceutical Investment Joint Stock Company, Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company, Sunshine Group, Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO), Fashion Connection Joint Stock Company (Faslink), 108 Central Military Hospital, 175 Military Hospital and a number of enterprises.

The final round of the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025 took place from October 31 to November 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 16 teams that had successfully passed the qualifying round.
