Two members who will not continue to accompany the Vietnamese women's team at ASIAD 19 are striker Vu Thi Hoa and defender Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh. Previously, in a friendly match with the team from Maritime University, striker Vu Thi Hoa suffered a minor ankle injury and will need about 2 weeks to fully recover. To strengthen the attack, coach Mai Duc Chung called up striker Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan from Ho Chi Minh City Club from September 12.
For Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, this is the first time the defender born in 2001 has been called up to the national team. Training with her seniors on the team will be a useful experience for young players to learn and draw lessons for themselves, aiming for future goals.
The Vietnamese women's team will depart for Wenzhou, China at 11:45 am tomorrow, September 19. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team's flight will connect in Guangzhou before landing at 6:55 pm the same day at Wenzhou city airport.
