Under coach Troussier, the national team, U23 Vietnam and youth teams all live in the VFF accommodation. The quality of the facilities and living conditions here are not inferior to those of mid-range hotels. However, coach Philippe Troussier decided to change the team's accommodation before the important match with Indonesia.

On the evening of March 22, the Vietnamese team arrived in Hanoi after a difficult journey from the capital Jakarta. Heavy rain and traffic jams caused the Vietnamese team to take nearly 8 hours to return to the hotel to rest. Hung Dung and his teammates' training sessions on March 23 and 24 were all closed.
The Indonesian team will travel to Vietnam on the morning of March 23. Coach Shin Tae-yong and his team will land in the afternoon.
The Indonesian team is the dominant team with 4 points and 2nd place in Group F of the 2nd qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. The match between the two teams takes place on March 26.
