Because coach Kim Sang Sik (Korean) is busy with the national team in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh will temporarily lead the Vietnam U22 team at the Panda Cup in China.

After the 0-1 loss of U22 Vietnam to U22 Uzbekistan this afternoon (November 15), interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh said: "I feel regretful that U22 Vietnam lost so closely to U22 Uzbekistan. The players played with great determination and discipline. However, our opponent was too strong."
“U22 Uzbekistan is a well-organized team with extensive international experience. As for U22 Vietnam, we need to improve our ability to apply pressure and handle decisive situations,” added Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh.
In the match against U22 Uzbekistan this afternoon, U22 Vietnam had many changes in the lineup compared to the opening match. This shows that interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh is trying to experiment with as many positions as possible, giving opportunities to many different players to show their abilities.

Interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh said about this: “This is a friendly tournament, the goal of U22 Vietnam is to build the squad, test the players' abilities. We want the players to gain experience before they enter official international tournaments.”
"After the match with U22 Uzbekistan, the whole team will have a meeting to review experiences, to prepare for the next match and for the road ahead," said Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh.
The final match of U22 Vietnam at Panda Cup 2025 will be against U22 Korea at 2:30 p.m. on November 18. After that, the whole team will return home to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December this year.
