
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the entire political system of the City, organizations, units, businesses, and people of all walks of life who have united, joined hands, and unanimously joined the Vietnam Fatherland Front in implementing activities to support people affected by natural disasters in the North and Central regions.
In the past time, Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized, contributed, and provided timely and effective support, close to the actual needs of localities affected by storms and floods. In the coming time, support work needs to be carried out openly and transparently, ensuring the motto of "having focus, key points, close to actual conditions".
The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City requested that, in the context of extreme weather, the City's agencies, departments, branches and units need to pay attention to the work of preparing, handling and supporting people to respond to the consequences of natural disasters such as storms, floods... occurring right in the area.
From the beginning of August to the end of November 2, 2025, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - City Relief Mobilization Committee received 14,720 donations with an amount of more than 204 billion VND and promptly supported 147 billion VND to 18 provinces and cities affected by natural disasters.
Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City supports the following provinces and cities: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen (each province 20 billion VND); Cao Bang (23 billion VND); Lang Son 7 billion VND; Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai (each province 5 billion VND); Dien Bien, Son La (each province 2.5 billion VND); Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen (each province 2 billion VND); Dong Thap 1 billion VND; Hue city, Da Nang (each locality 10 billion VND).
By November 2, 2025, the City had mobilized and received 731 boxes of household medicine (11,096 medicine bags), 70 tons of rice, 4,619 boxes of essential goods, 535 boxes of blankets, mosquito nets, sheets, towels with a total value of more than 5 billion VND. The City promptly distributed goods and essential goods to support people in the Northern and Central regions affected by storms and floods.
Since mid-September, the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has organized many working delegations to visit, work, encourage and provide support to people affected by natural disasters and floods in the provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Bac Ninh, Lang Son...
On the morning of November 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee received registrations for donations from 22 units, businesses, organizations and individuals with a total amount of money and goods worth more than 6 billion VND.
