Hoa Binh reduces poverty by more than 9% after 4 years

After 4 years of synchronous implementation of support policies, the poverty rate in Hoa Binh province has decreased sharply from 15.49% in 2020 to 6.59% by the end of 2024, equivalent to a decrease of more than 9%. This is a remarkable result in the journey of implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the province.

In the 2021-2024 period, the total resources mobilized for the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Hoa Binh province reached more than 740 billion VND. Of which, the central budget accounted for the majority with 732.6 billion VND. These resources have been allocated to 7 major project groups, including: infrastructure development in poor areas, livelihood diversification, agricultural production development, nutrition improvement, vocational education and employment development, housing support, communication - information, capacity building and program monitoring. Of which, Project 1 alone supporting infrastructure in Da Bac poor district has disbursed nearly 300 billion VND to invest and maintain 489 works serving people's lives.

Hoa Binh province aims to reduce the poverty rate to 5.31% by the end of 2025, aiming for sustainable development and leaving no one behind.
