Honoring 50 outstanding voluntary blood donors

Comrade Nguyen Van Toan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals in the voluntary blood donation movement in 2025.

The province currently has 102 blood donation clubs with 2,739 people, including 49 voluntary blood donation clubs with 985 people, 268 reserve blood donation clubs with 1,442 people, and 26 family blood donation clubs with 312 people.

In the first months of 2025, the Provincial Steering Committee for Blood Donation Mobilization coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Hospital 198, Ministry of Public Security to organize 7 blood donation campaigns in the districts of Lac Son, Mai Chau, Luong Son, Yen Thuy, Kim Boi and Hoa Binh city, Provincial Police, with 1,355 people registering to participate in blood donation. Thereby, 3,806 blood units were received, reaching 37% of the yearly plan, after conversion, 4,982 blood units (1,245 liters of blood), worth over 700 million VND.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended outstanding individuals in blood donation activities. He emphasized that donating blood to save lives is a noble and humane gesture.

In order for the voluntary blood donation movement to develop sustainably and complete its goals and plans, he called on outstanding blood donors to continue to encourage their relatives, friends, families, agencies and units to participate in blood donation. He suggested that all levels and sectors in the province continue to strengthen communication about the profound humanitarian significance of voluntary blood donation. The Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee closely coordinates with the Youth Union to promote the role of young people in voluntary blood donation; coordinates with relevant units to fully prepare means, materials and techniques to organize the safe reception and collection of blood. Timely commend and reward collectives and individuals with many contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement.

On this occasion, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, union members, youth, students and people in the province to actively participate in the voluntary blood donation campaign; and mobilize more people to donate blood.

At the conference, the Provincial Steering Committee for the Youth Volunteer Movement awarded 50 outstanding individuals in the Youth Volunteer Movement of Hoa Binh province in 2025.
