On the evening of August 27, on her personal page, Miss Phuong Le posted an article stating that she is no longer suitable for the title of Miss.
Therefore, Mrs. Grand International 2017 wants to return the crown to the pageant organizers.
Accordingly, Phuong Le shared: "From today, Phuong Le realizes that she is not suitable for the title of Miss, so I will allow Phuong Le to be an ordinary woman without a title. Phuong Le will contact the contest organizers to return the crown."
Phuong Le affirmed that the title of Miss has helped her get closer to everyone. However, she affirmed that from today (August 27), she will no longer be a Miss but just a normal mother and wife like any other woman.
In addition, Phuong Le also apologized for "accidentally" making the public unhappy. At the same time, she promised to work hard, reach out to the community and share and help the most practical situations.

Not long ago, Miss Phuong Le caused controversy when she changed the lyrics of the National Anthem (Tien Quan Ca) during a livestream on social media.
At a meeting with the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, Miss Phuong Le stated that she acted impulsively and without planning in advance after being attacked by some people. She later removed the video and wrote an apology on August 16.
After the meeting, the authorities decided to impose an administrative penalty on Ms. Le Thi Hau Phuong (Miss Phuong Le) for the act of distorting a work that harms the honor and reputation of the author as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 10, Decree 131 of the Government , regulating administrative penalties for violations of copyright and related rights.
In addition, Phuong Le was also fined for providing and sharing information that is not in accordance with the nation's traditions and customs as prescribed in Point b, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15 of the Government, stipulating administrative sanctions for violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions.
According to the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, if Phuong Le re-offends or continues to commit administrative violations, the Department of Information and Communications will coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police and relevant agencies to consider handling aggravating circumstances according to regulations.
Phuong Le was born in 1979, from Tra Vinh. She won the runner-up title of Miss Vietnamese Businesswoman of the World 2016 and won the Mrs. World Peace 2017 pageant.
