Attending the event were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Van Nien; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Tuy; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh, members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and 250 enterprises, businessmen and investors in the area. Representative of Hoa Phat Group attending the event was Mr. Mai Van Ha - Director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien expressed his gratitude to the business community and entrepreneurs in the province. On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien affirmed that Quang Ngai will always strive to build an open, transparent and friendly investment and business environment for the business community and investors, promptly support and resolve all difficulties and obstacles so that businesses can feel completely secure in investing and expanding production and business.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 enterprises with good achievements in implementing social security policies, including Hoa Phat.
Hoa Phat is currently the largest enterprise in Quang Ngai province. Implementing the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex project since 2017, the Group considers Quang Ngai as a strategic investment location and allocates a large budget for social security activities, bringing practical, long-term values to the local community.
On August 21, 2025, Hoa Phat Group and Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony and handed over the Binh Dong Primary School in Van Tuong Commune, Quang Ngai Province. The project was sponsored by Hoa Phat in the form of a turnkey project with a total investment of 42 billion VND.
Previously, Hoa Phat also spent 30 billion VND to support Quang Ngai province in the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for households in difficult circumstances; more than 5 billion VND to support the renovation of facilities for Binh Dong Secondary School and 18/3 Kindergarten; and donated water purifiers to schools in the province. The Group also periodically organizes Tet gifts for the poor to support the upbringing of orphaned children in the area.
Up to now, Hoa Phat has spent 175 billion VND to carry out practical social security activities in Quang Ngai province, focusing on 4 groups: Education - Health - Transportation - Community.
