(Dan Tri) - According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, funding for the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam is carried out from the budget.

The Department notes that the time allocated for teaching and educational activities in the second session should not be used to teach compulsory and optional subjects and educational activities, study topics of the General Education Program, or to test and evaluate students.

In particular, the review for the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam must not exceed 6 periods/week, and must be carried out from the beginning of the school year.

Training excellent students by subject, no more than 2 periods/subject/week; implemented from the beginning of the school year until students take the exam.

Reinforcement for students to complete learning content; review and tutor students whose learning results for the previous semester's final subject are not satisfactory, no more than 2 periods/subject/week. The first grade classes will implement from the second semester of the school year, while the remaining grades will implement from the beginning of the school year.

In session 1, arrange the number of sessions/week to ensure enough periods/week for compulsory subjects and educational activities, electives, and specialized learning topics according to the regulations in the General Education Program.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that the number of periods for session 1 and session 2 during the day and week is flexibly arranged according to the prescribed duration, suitable and convenient for the implementation conditions of the school, students and parents.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also noted that schools should review the current status of facilities and teaching staff, determine funding needs to organize two teaching sessions per day; arrange teachers to teach, and organize activities based on the reality and conditions of the school to ensure that it does not overload students, teachers and parents.

Survey students' learning needs in session 2 before the start of the new school year to have a plan to organize educational content to meet students' learning needs and suit the school's conditions;

Develop a school education plan, effectively use facilities and teaching staff; arrange the first and second sessions flexibly, suitable to the school's conditions, without putting pressure on students.
