Learning and following Uncle Ho to protect the Party's ideological foundation

- In recent years, the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle have been focused on by the Provincial Party Committee, leading, directing and organizing implementation, achieving many outstanding results. Studying and following Uncle Ho has increasingly gone into depth, becoming a self-consciousness, helping cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to "self-reflect", "self-correct", fight to prevent and repel degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle, contributing to firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Collectives and individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2024.

Inheriting and developing the viewpoints of President Ho Chi Minh, our Party has identified Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought as the ideological foundation and guideline for the Party's actions. Therefore, the research, study and creative application of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought into practice in each locality, agency and unit; the study and application of each cadre, party member and people are concrete and practical actions to firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation.

Promote learning and following Uncle Ho's example

Thoroughly grasping the Party's viewpoints and effectively implementing the Party's directives, resolutions and conclusions, especially Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" (Conclusion No. 01), the Provincial Party Committee has issued a plan and guidelines for implementation, focusing on well implementing the content of studying and following Uncle Ho and setting an example for cadres and party members...

On that basis, Party committees and organizations at all levels in the entire Party have promoted propaganda, research, and study of Conclusion No. 01 and the entire course's topics and next year's topics to a large number of cadres, Party members, and people to ensure practicality and effectiveness.

Specifically, the Provincial Party Committee coordinated to organize an online conference on the entire course of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style on self-reliance and aspiration for a prosperous and happy country", from the central bridge to 207 bridges in the province with more than 6,300 delegates attending; 100% of the affiliated Party Committees and socio-political organizations of the province organized to study and thoroughly grasp the topic.

Party committees and organizations at all levels have developed plans to implement the course and yearly topics in their agencies and units, ensuring that they meet the requirements and content, are suitable to the characteristics and practical conditions, and are associated with promoting the implementation of patriotic emulation movements in agencies and units launched by all levels and sectors; organizing for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, and association members to develop personal plans and make commitments to self-cultivation, training, striving to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

Mr. Pham Cong Minh, Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Director of the Huu Lung District Political Center, said that every year, the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department always advises the District Party Committee's Standing Committee to seriously organize the dissemination and study of documents of Party committees at all levels and annual topics on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. 100% of cadres and party members in the Party Committee participate in studying and developing plans to follow Uncle Ho in implementing the full-term topics and annual topics. The propaganda of studying and following Uncle Ho is promoted through the district radio system, grassroots radio stations, through conferences, reporters, social opinion collaborators, propagandists of branches and grassroots party committees, through conferences, party cell activities, thematic activities, activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, through social networks, etc.

To specify the Central Party Committee's resolutions on setting examples, the Provincial Party Committee issued Regulation No. 1877-QD/TU dated July 5, 2019 on the responsibility of setting examples of comrades of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee (ECC) to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. On that basis, cadres and party members, especially members of the Party Committees at all levels, have seriously developed plans to organize the implementation of the Party's regulations on setting examples.

The setting of examples by Party committees and Party committee members is associated with the implementation of resolutions and conclusions of the 4th Conference of the 11th and 12th Central Committees, Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW, dated October 25, 2021, Conclusion of the 4th Conference of the 13th Central Committee on strengthening Party building and rectification, Conclusion No. 01, in accordance with the characteristics and actual situation of each Party committee, agency and unit. Cadres and Party members, especially leaders, have set an example, seriously implemented "self-examination and self-correction", thereby proposing policies and solutions to promote strengths, overcome limitations and shortcomings in leadership, direction, management, operation and implementation of assigned tasks.

The contingent of cadres and party members always raise their sense of responsibility, voluntarily register to cultivate, practice, and set an example in implementing public ethics; build and implement well the office culture and behavioral culture; innovate and implement the style of "respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people and being responsible to the people", "listening to the people, speaking so that the people understand, making the people trust", gradually overcoming the disease of achievements, administrative diseases, bureaucracy, and being far from the people; being proactive, creative, daring to think, daring to speak, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the benefit of the locality and unit;... Thanks to that, through annual assessment and classification, the percentage of party members who have completed their tasks well or better has increased over the years (in 2020 it was 94.27%; in 2021 it was 94.62%, in 2022 it was 95.73%, in 2023 it was 95.74%).

It can be affirmed that the serious and effective implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle has helped cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and people of all walks of life to have an increasingly complete and profound awareness of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, turning awareness into practical actions in cultivating revolutionary ethics, training political qualities, promoting the will to strive, contributing to building the Party and the political system at all levels to be increasingly clean and strong, firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Contribute to protecting the Party's ideological foundation

Through research and study, Party committees, cadres and Party members are equipped with core knowledge of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, thereby raising awareness and actively participating in refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

To protect the Party's ideological foundation, the Provincial Party Standing Committee is interested in leading and seriously implementing the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in conjunction with implementing Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo "on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation" (Resolution No. 35), especially organizing many practical activities to provide information, build, improve and improve professional skills for the force tasked with protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

On that basis, Party committees and organizations at all levels pay attention to innovating leadership methods and improving the quality of Party committee activities, Party cell activities, and Party member development work; implementing models of "Four-good Party cells", "Four-good grassroots Party organizations", thematic activities... contributing to improving the quality of Party organizations and Party members. At the same time, strengthening the work of Party inspection, supervision, and discipline, focusing on regular supervision; effectively implementing the work of praising and rewarding exemplary collectives and individuals, good and effective practices, creating a spreading effect in social life.

The force tasked with protecting the Party's ideological foundation from the province to the grassroots level has been promoting its effectiveness, spreading positive information, fighting to remove bad and toxic information on social networks... contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting to refute wrong and hostile views in the province. The provincial press and radio agencies have opened many special pages and columns on "Party Building", "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation", "For National Security", "Bringing Resolutions into Life", "Legal Information",... informing and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws...

Ms. Luu Hai Van, Hoang Thuong village, Hoang Dong commune, Lang Son city shared: Recently, some negative information has appeared on social networks. However, through monitoring the reality in the locality, as well as through studying and being propagated at conferences, party cell activities, and village meetings, I have noticed that cadres and party members, especially the heads of agencies and units, are increasingly changing their working style, not harassing or annoying the people. When interacting with people, they always have a respectful attitude, listen to people, and guide people enthusiastically and thoughtfully. Good people and good deeds following Uncle Ho's example are increasingly appearing in agencies, units and among the people. Through that, I feel very confident in the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the leadership and direction of local Party committees and authorities.

Through practical actions in studying and following Uncle Ho's example, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved; the appearance of urban and new rural areas has had many positive changes; the great national unity bloc has been consolidated and promoted. The struggle against and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints, and the protection of the Party's ideological foundation have been actively carried out by cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life in the province, thereby contributing to firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
