Border Guard Academy stops recruiting 3 groups, including C00

From 2026, the Border Guard Academy will only consider recruiting 3 groups for both border guard and law majors, including C03 (literature, math, history), C04 (literature, math, geography), D01 (literature, math, English).

On November 17, the Border Guard Academy announced the university entrance exam combinations for 2026. The selection of combinations is based on the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the entrance exam combination must include at least three subjects, including math or literature with a weighting of no less than 25% in the admission score; from 2026, the common subjects of the combinations must contribute at least 50% of the weighting of the admission score.

Accordingly, from 2026, the academy will only use 3 admission combinations, including C03 (literature, math, history), C04 (literature, math, geography), D01 (literature, math, English).

Thus, compared to last year, the school has removed the combination of C00 (literature, history, geography), A01 (math, physics, English), C01 (literature, math, physics).

According to the academy, the above adjustment is the optimal solution and is agreed upon by many experts, when math and literature are taken as the basis in the admission combinations, 100% of candidates must take the high school graduation exam in these two subjects.

Before the Border Guard Academy, the University of Technology, Hanoi National University also announced its plan to adjust and remove the admission combination D01 (math, literature, English) and B00 (math, chemistry, biology). The University of Technology will only keep the combination with two common subjects: math and physics.

Last year, the Border Guard Academy recruited 250 students, with three admission methods, including direct admission, priority admission; considering the capacity assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University; considering the high school graduation exam scores.
