Air Defense - Air Force Academy responds to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025

The Air Defense - Air Force Academy has enthusiastically organized activities in response to the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 with many rich and attractive contents.

The focus of the activity is towards the country's great festival, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025), the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 / May 7, 2025), the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 / May 19, 2025) and welcoming party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In particular, the Air Defense - Air Force Academy organized a book exhibition with the theme "Entering the era of national development with books" from April 15 to May 7 at the school library. Through this activity, it aims to spread the reading culture, encourage cadres, lecturers, students, military personnel, defense officials, and soldiers in the academy to raise awareness, promote the tradition of patriotism and the spirit of innovation and creativity, contributing to building the Academy with a positive learning environment, a good, healthy, and rich cultural environment.

Accordingly, with nearly 500 books, diverse in the fields of: History of the Vietnamese revolution, traditions of the army, the service and the academy; Victory 30-4, the Journal of Air Defense - Air Force Education Science, as well as works about President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to political and ideological education, arousing national pride, patriotic traditions and a sense of responsibility in each officer and soldier.

Activities to spread reading culture, contributing to building the Air Defense - Air Force Academy with a positive learning environment.

Colonel Tran Tien Dung - Head of the Department of Military Science, Air Defense - Air Force Academy emphasized: This exhibition not only creates a space for officers and students to exchange and share knowledge, arouse their passion for research, learning, accumulating knowledge, and better understanding the heroic past of the nation, but also serves as a reminder of the responsibility of each soldier in inheriting and promoting the traditions of their ancestors, while constantly learning and creatively applying them in practical activities.

Sergeant Le Tuan Thanh, a student of the Aviation Equipment class, course 66, Battalion 7, shared: “Participating in the Book and Reading Culture Day at the School Library today, I feel extremely honored and proud. This is not only an opportunity for us to access many books with historical imprints, expanding our knowledge, but also an opportunity to foster a love for reading culture, arousing a passion for reading. Each page of the book read today will be a valuable asset on the path of learning, training and dedication in the future.”
