" Economic Dynamics": Repositioning Commerce in the Digital Age
The Golden Autumn Fair 2025 is considered an important policy tool to renew the old growth momentum, contributing positively to socio-economic development. From a macro perspective, the Fair is considered a strategic highlight by leading experts. Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand and Competitiveness Strategy, commented: "The Autumn Fair is a very important program, which can be seen as a long-term highlight in the process of national economic integration and development. This is not only a story of connecting domestic trade, but also bringing Vietnam to the world through products, trade and investment activities, and bringing the world to Vietnam. The ambitious goal and large scale of organization reflect the strategic vision in building a trade promotion space with depth and strong influence".

Mr. Thanh emphasized that the world context is changing strongly, opening up many new opportunities. Although digital technology plays a key role. However, exhibition activities and business support are always an irreplaceable pillar. This is the 'fulcrum' for businesses to expand their cooperation network, access international markets and increase competitiveness. This fair has a special meaning when it clearly demonstrates the connection between people, products and Vietnamese businesses with the world, while affirming the intrinsic value of the domestic market.
The notable "highlight" is that the event has the most modern space. Regarding the strategic significance of this infrastructure, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh assessed that the special point of this year's Autumn Fair is that we have a truly international-scale fair and exhibition infrastructure, something that Vietnam has never had before. This is an important foundation for building the national image, promoting the Vietnamese brand and attracting high-quality investment capital flows. With good, modern infrastructure, the Fair does not stop at introducing products or services; more importantly, it creates a space for businesses to promote their supply capacity, expand cooperation and learn from each other, a place where information, knowledge and development trends converge.
The fair is not only a place to display goods but also a "strategic connection space"
According to Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the organizing agency, the fair is not only a place to display goods but also a "strategic connection space". This year's fair model helps businesses expand trade through online platforms, connect global supply chains and move towards smart production and business. This is how Vietnam repositions its trade activities in the era of deep digitalization, when e-commerce and modern logistics become new pillars of growth.
Regarding efforts to improve trade and international integration, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh further assessed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a network of more than 60 Trade Offices worldwide has proactively mobilized international cooperation channels to support events and expand trade space. This is a huge advantage, demonstrating proactive, flexible thinking and long-term vision in organizing trade promotion.
"Cultural and social dynamics": Spreading identity and sustainable development
The Social Activity "Autumn of Hope" is a profound humanitarian highlight. The event was directed by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son to launch a call for support and share difficulties with people and localities affected by storms and floods right at the Opening Ceremony, demonstrating the spirit of social responsibility, connecting businesses with the community.
Not only stopping at the economic aspect, the 2025 Autumn Fair is also a big festival, a convergence space of culture, creativity and regional values, demonstrating a vision of sustainable development, linking the economy with national identity and community responsibility.
The event is designed in 5 scientific themed zones: Autumn Prosperity, Family Autumn, Vietnamese Land Autumn - Colors and Fragrances of Autumn, Hanoi Autumn Essence and Vietnamese Culture Essence. 34 participating provinces and cities not only bring typical products, but also tell stories about identity and creative journey. Regarding the role of local zones, Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City. Can Tho affirmed: "The 2025 Autumn Fair is not only a normal trade promotion task but also a 'golden opportunity' for Can Tho enterprises to affirm their quality and reputation, while expanding their network of partners and distribution channels to the Northern market. Units need to focus on three strategic task groups. First, ensure product quality and identity so that each product is a 'brand ambassador'. Second, promote communication and brand promotion. Third, improve professionalism in trade promotion, creating a foundation for long-term, sustainable cooperative relationships after the fair".
The special thing about this year's Autumn Fair is that we have the infrastructure to organize fairs and exhibitions of truly international scale.
From the perspective of a science and technology enterprise, Ms. Do Thi Thu Huong, Deputy General Director of Vinphaco, shared about the commitment to innovation: "Participating in the fair, Vinphaco brought a booth with the theme 'high-quality production', with the highlight being advanced technologies, thereby affirming the creative spirit of Vietnamese enterprises in the integration era."
Connecting the global supply chain
The event attracted great attention from international partners, opening up opportunities to bring Vietnamese products to major markets. Regarding international cooperation, Mr. Rakesh Kumar - Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited, shared the strategic goals of the Indian delegation, emphasizing the role of Vietnam in the global supply chain: "For India, this is a particularly important opportunity. Indian businesses not only introduce products, but also seek potential suppliers from Vietnam for three key markets: the United States, Europe and India. Through the B2B e-commerce platform Expo Bazaar, we hope to integrate Vietnamese suppliers with stable capacity, unique designs and understanding of international consumer trends into our global supply chain."
To maintain this momentum, Mr. Kumar proposed a long-term, rotating cooperation mechanism that goes beyond the framework of a single event: "We wish to build a rotating cooperation mechanism between the two countries, in which trade fairs and exhibitions can be held alternately in Vietnam and India. For example, we can organize a 'Vietnam-India Trade Week' in Noida or Mumbai, followed by an 'India-Vietnam Business Exhibition' in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City."
However, sustainable effectiveness requires the active role of management agencies after the fair ends. Vinphaco representative suggested: "After the fair, management agencies should maintain a regular trade promotion mechanism, support businesses to continue connecting, expand markets, turn cooperation opportunities in the fair into real results, and avoid the situation where the fair is just a 'one-time stage'.
Regarding the business community's expectations for change, Mr. Vo Tri Thanh emphasized that a change in strategic thinking is a core factor: "I hope that after fairs like this, businesses will change their business and trade thinking in a more systematic, long-term and professional direction. Opportunities lie not only in immediate orders but also in the ability to position the brand, increase value and affirm identity in the international market. When entering the big playground, businesses must have the capacity to organize, approach, negotiate and promote in accordance with global standards"./.
