- On the afternoon of April 29, at Km0 of Coc Nam border gate (Vietnam) - Lung Nghiu (China), the working delegation of Coc Nam border gate Customs (Customs Branch of Region VI) held a meeting with Lung Nghiu border gate Customs (Guangxi, China ) to discuss and agree on resolving arising issues to facilitate the import and export of goods through the Coc Nam - Lung Nghiu border gate pair.
Here, the leaders of Coc Nam Border Gate Customs (Vietnam) stated: On May 27, 2024, at the Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Po Chai (China) border gate area, the People's Committee of Lang Son province coordinated with the People's Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China to organize the official announcement ceremony of the opening of the dedicated freight transport route in the area of landmark 1088/2-1089; the Tan Thanh - Po Chai customs clearance (area of landmark 1090 - 1091); the Coc Nam - Lung Nghiu customs clearance (area of landmark 1104 - 1105) belonging to the Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China). Accordingly, the dedicated freight transport routes and customs clearance routes mentioned above officially belong to the Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China).
However, recently, the authorities at Lung Nghiu border gate (China) only work 6 hours/day (from 8-11am and from 1-4pm Vietnam time) and are off on Saturdays and Sundays, which greatly affects the business plans of enterprises and customs clearance efficiency through the Coc Nam - Lung Nghiu border gate pair.
To facilitate customs clearance activities, the leaders of the two units discussed a number of issues such as the need to arrange forces at Lung Nghiu border gate to work according to the working hours of the functional forces at Po Chai customs clearance (China) (morning from 7:30 am - 11 am; afternoon from 1:30 pm - 8 pm Vietnam time) and arrange forces to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
During the meeting, the Customs of the two sides also discussed and clarified some contents on the implementation of some procedures by the functional forces at Lung Nghiu border gate for aquatic products, agricultural products, fresh fruits, etc. exported from Vietnam to China; Coc Nam border gate Customs proposed to Lung Nghiu border gate Customs to consider shortening the time for procedures for agricultural products and fresh fruits imported into China and to consider preferential policies for fresh mangoes exported from Vietnam to the Chinese market.
Leaders of the two units also discussed the establishment of an instant communication channel between the two units at Coc Nam - Lung Nghiu border gate to promptly discuss and resolve difficulties and obstacles in import-export activities of businesses on both sides.
Through the discussion, the two sides basically agreed on a number of contents. Accordingly, in the coming time, the two sides will continue to actively advise the superior agencies of the two sides to promote the removal and resolution of difficulties of enterprises in implementing import-export activities.
