Stop accepting cosmetic product declaration files with companies that repeatedly violate - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

After consecutively announcing the recall and handling of violations of cosmetic products of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health has just decided to temporarily stop receiving cosmetic product declaration dossiers for this company for 6 months.

Today (May 27), Dr. Ta Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health, said that the unit has just issued a decision to suspend circulation and recall nationwide the product G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask, 5 pieces in a 25g box, batch number: CL06C7, Expiry date: EXP20251218, Receipt number of the Declaration Form 196219/23/CBMP-QLD. The organization responsible for bringing the product to the market is VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, located on the mezzanine floor of Dai Thanh Binh Building, No. 911-913-915-917 Nguyen Trai, Ward 14, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City; the manufacturer is C&Tech Corporation, Korea.

This product is recalled because the original product label does not list the correct ingredients as in the cosmetic product declaration file (missing Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin).

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities to notify businesses and cosmetic users in the area to immediately stop selling and using the above-mentioned G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask, 5 pieces, 25g box, and return the product to the supplier.

At the same time, recall and destroy the above products; inspect and supervise units implementing this notice; handle violating units according to current regulations.

Regarding VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, the Drug Administration Department requires sending a recall notice to the distributors and users of the above G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask product, 5 pieces in a 25g box; receiving returned products from business establishments and recalling all products that do not meet regulations.

In addition, continue to quarantine and preserve the recalled cosmetic products until there is an opinion on destruction from the competent state agency; send a recall report of the G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask product to the Department of Drug Administration before June 26, 2025.

The Ministry of Health also requested that this Company review the formula ingredients on the original label with the Cosmetic Product Declaration Form for other imported batches of the violating G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask product. In case of similar errors as the above violating batch, the Company must promptly notify the distribution and usage establishments of the recall and send a report on the review and recall of the product to the Department of Drug Administration before June 10, 2025.

The Ministry of Health requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to supervise VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited in recalling the product G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask, 5 pieces in a 25g box, which does not meet regulations; report the results of the supervision to the Department of Drug Administration before July 11, 2025. Handle violations in accordance with regulations.

Clarifying 2 products that use misleading words like medicine

Continue to clarify and handle violations (if any) for 2 products using phrases that can be misunderstood as drugs: Hanayuki Shampoo product, Hanayuki Empire of Beauty brand, 300g bottle, production date 01/05/25, expiry date 01/04/27, batch 0010125 (Receipt of Declaration Form 780/24/CBMP-DN) and VB Soft & Silk product, Hanayuki Empire of Beauty brand, 150g bottle, now produced 01/02/25, expiry date 01/01/27, batch 0010125 (Receipt of Declaration Form 792/24/CBMP-DN).

Complete to transfer the violation records for products with signs of criminal violations discovered during the inspection process to the police agency for investigation and handling of violations according to authority.

On the same day, May 27, the Department of Drug Administration also issued a decision to revoke the Cosmetic Product Declaration receipt number for G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask cosmetics, because the original product label did not correctly state the formula ingredients as in the cosmetic product declaration file.

This product is also brought to market by VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited.

Dr. Ta Manh Hung emphasized that the application for a receipt number for the Cosmetic Product Declaration Form submitted by VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited before May 27, 2025 will no longer be valid.

When the temporary suspension of receiving dossiers expires (after 6 months from May 27, 2025), the Company wishing to declare cosmetic products must submit dossiers according to the provisions of Circular No. 06/2011/TT-BYT dated January 25, 2011 of the Ministry of Health.

Previously, 3 batches of cosmetic products distributed by this company were recalled and destroyed nationwide, including shampoo, conditioner and sunscreen.

On May 27, Dong Nai provincial authorities held an urgent meeting and agreed to initiate a case to investigate the suspended cosmetics case. In particular, they agreed to initiate a case to investigate signs of counterfeit production of Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen products produced by EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (Giang Dien Industrial Park, Trang Bom District).
