On the morning of December 28th, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review the collective and individual performance of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee in 2023. Attending the meeting were members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, and members of the Provincial People's Committee.

In 2023, the Provincial People's Committee thoroughly implemented directives, resolutions, decisions, and conclusions from higher authorities, as well as the collective's work programs and plans. They consistently upheld the principle of democratic centralism throughout the leadership, direction, and management process; proactively resolving issues within their authority and following the correct procedures and regulations as stipulated by law and the working regulations of the Provincial People's Committee. In carrying out their assigned tasks, the members of the Provincial People's Committee acted proactively, flexibly, and decisively, ensuring coordination, information exchange, and promoting democracy, openness, and transparency. Therefore, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the province's socio -economic development remained stable and achieved several positive results.
The province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 7.37% compared to 2022, 1.5 times higher than the national average; total production value is estimated to increase by 6.6% compared to 2022. Investment promotion and attraction efforts have been prioritized, yielding many positive results. By December 18th, the province had attracted nearly VND 98,300 billion in investment capital, 4.6 times higher than the same period in 2022. Foreign direct investment (FDI) reached nearly USD 3 billion for the first time – the highest ever and ranking 5th nationwide in FDI attraction. To date, the province has basically completed the task of developing the Thai Binh provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. 2023 also marks the second consecutive year exceeding 1,000 newly registered businesses. The disbursement of public investment capital has received attention and guidance, and continues to yield good results, with the disbursement rate among the highest in the country. Key projects have been prioritized in terms of resources and have received decisive direction. Cultural and social fields have been comprehensively addressed. Administrative discipline and order in state agencies have been strengthened, and administrative reform has seen many positive changes. National defense, security, and social order and safety have been maintained.

At the conference, the collective and individual leaders of the Provincial People's Committee reviewed their strengths and achievements; clarified their limitations and shortcomings, their causes, and the results of addressing those limitations and shortcomings identified in previous reviews; and identified the responsibilities of the collective and individuals. Based on this, they proposed directions and measures to overcome limitations and shortcomings in the future.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: The review conference is of great importance, providing an opportunity for the collective of the Provincial People's Committee and each individual leader to look back at the achievements in leading and directing the implementation of tasks in 2023; affirming what has been done well, while also pointing out the limitations and shortcomings of the collective and individual leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, and on that basis proposing solutions to overcome them, ensuring feasibility, consistency, and effectiveness. At the same time, it aims to further enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the collective and individual leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, building a more united, clean, strong, capable, and reputable Provincial People's Committee to meet the requirements of leading the successful implementation of tasks in 2024.
