The seminar was honored to welcome Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs ; Comrade Do Ngoc Thuy, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; along with many representatives of leaders, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of units in the Ministry, cadres preparing to go on business trips, members of the Trade Union's cultural and artistic clubs, researchers, lecturers and students of the Diplomatic Academy. In addition, the event was also attended by representatives of embassies, international organizations and many major press agencies in Hanoi.
In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that cinema is not only an art field, but also an effective soft diplomacy tool, contributing to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world , while promoting international exchange and cooperation in many fields.

The main speaker of the Seminar was Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, President of the Vietnam Film Promotion and Development Association (VFDA), who has many years of experience in the field of film management and development.
At the Seminar, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan had an in-depth presentation and open discussion, affirming that national identity is the soul and foundation for Vietnamese cinema to position itself on the world cinema map. Each film is a cultural bridge, bringing international audiences closer to the history, people and soul of Vietnam.
According to the Doctor, exploiting traditional cultural materials, historical values, and customs in cinematic works not only helps preserve heritage but also creates a unique mark for Vietnamese cinema when participating in international film festivals.

Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation to acquire technology, techniques, management experience and develop the film market: “International integration not only helps Vietnamese cinema approach new trends but also opens up opportunities for cooperation in production, investment and promotion of Vietnamese films abroad. This is a prerequisite for the film industry to develop sustainably in the era of globalization.”
At the Seminar, many delegates and guests shared their passionate opinions on the current situation, potential and challenges of Vietnamese cinema. Representatives of young filmmakers expressed their desire to have more access to support funds and international training programs to improve their production, creativity and integration capacity.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, an independent film producer, said: “For Vietnamese cinema to truly reach out to the world, there needs to be coordinated efforts between management agencies, associations, businesses, and artists and filmmakers themselves. In addition, policies to support film production and promote works abroad also need to be given more attention.”
Representatives of diplomatic agencies and international organizations also highly appreciated the ability to spread Vietnamese cultural values through cinema, and pledged to continue to accompany and support exchange and cooperation activities in this field.

At the end of the seminar, delegates agreed that Vietnamese cinema should continue to promote national cultural values, while proactively approaching and integrating deeply with the world cinema industry. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and VFDA also pledged to strengthen coordination and create favorable conditions for international cooperation activities and promote Vietnamese cinema.
Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan emphasized: "Cinema will continue to be a bridge connecting Vietnam with international friends, contributing to promoting the comprehensive international integration process, enhancing Vietnam's position and image in the international arena."
The seminar is not only a forum for professional exchange but also an opportunity for managers, artists, filmmakers and international partners to join hands to contribute ideas and build a strategy for developing Vietnamese cinema in line with the integration trend. The successful event has opened up new expectations for the Vietnamese cinema industry on the path to becoming an effective bridge for international cooperation and integration in the new era.
