Workshop on Cultural Industry and Sustainable Tourism Development in Vietnam

VHO - On October 30, at Tam Chuc National Tourist Area (Ninh Binh), the International Scientific Conference "Cultural industry with sustainable tourism development in Vietnam in the context of international integration" took place.

The international scientific conference will focus on five main groups of issues.

Attending the workshop were representatives of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Vietnam Tourism Association, Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, international delegates, along with the participation of experts, professors, doctors, and scientists from home and abroad.

The workshop aims to research and propose solutions for developing cultural industries associated with sustainable tourism development in Vietnam in the current context, in order to meet the increasing needs and demands of the tourism market.

The international scientific conference attracted 200 papers from scientists, institutes, and research institutes at home and abroad. However, in one working day, only 14 papers were presented in the conference hall for researchers and managers to participate and contribute their opinions.

Prof. Dr. Dao Manh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Training Association, said: The workshop will focus on discussing 5 main groups of issues: The role of cultural industry in sustainable tourism development in Vietnam. Linking the value chain of cultural and tourism industries in the context of international integration; Exploiting indigenous cultural resources to build creative tourism products. Preserving cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism; International cooperation in developing cultural and tourism industries in Vietnam and other issues;

Exploiting indigenous cultural elements, especially cultural elements typical of regions and localities, to bring different experiences to tourists; Solutions to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage in sustainable tourism development.

Director of Ninh Binh Province Department of Tourism Mr. Bui Van Manh hopes that the workshop will propose innovations, optimal solutions, and the most practical contributions to the growing development of Ninh Binh's cultural industry in particular and the country in general.
