- On the morning of August 22, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Institute and Party leaders (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ) to organize a scientific seminar with the theme "Activities and contributions of Comrade Tran Dang Ninh to the revolutionary movement of Lang Son province and the Northern region".

Overview of the workshop

Attending the conference were comrades: Nong Luong Chan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Associate Professor, Doctor Ly Viet Quang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Institute and Party leaders; scientists , historical researchers inside and outside the province; relatives of comrade Tran Dang Ninh.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department outlined the life and revolutionary career of comrade Tran Dang Ninh.

He affirmed: The workshop is an opportunity for scientists and researchers to exchange and discuss, thereby contributing to deepening the great contributions of comrade Tran Dang Ninh to the revolutionary cause of our Party and People. These will be valuable historical data, a source of documents for the provinces, especially the localities where comrade Tran Dang Ninh used to work, to continue to propagate andeducate the traditions for generations, especially the young generation about the contributions of predecessors to the homeland and country, to arouse and promote national pride...

Comrade Tran Dang Ninh (real name Nguyen Tuan Dang) was born in 1910, in Quang Nguyen village, Quang Phu commune, Ung Hoa district, Ha Dong province (now Quang Phu Cau commune, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi city).

He started participating in the revolution in 1935. Through his activities, in 1940 when the Bac Son uprising broke out, he was appointed by the Regional Party Committee to lead the Bac Son movement.

During his revolutionary activities, he experienced many hardships, from illness to imprisonment and torture, but he remained steadfast in following the Party. In recognition of his great contributions to the revolutionary cause of our nation, the Party and State posthumously awarded him the First Class Independence Medal and the Gold Star Medal.

Before the conference, the Organizing Committee received more than 20 presentations from scientists and researchers at the Ho Chi Minh Institute and Party leaders, Hoang Van Thu Political School, Lang Son Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department...

Delegates from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics delivered speeches at the conference.

Of which , 8 papers were selected to be presented at the conference. The content of the papers focused on analyzing: Comrade Tran Dang Ninh with the revolutionary movement of the Party Committee and People of Bac Son; historical documents and events of Comrade Tran Dang Ninh participating in the Bac Ky Regional Party Committee; Comrade Tran Dang Ninh with the birth of the Bac Son National Salvation Army; some documents related to the activities and contributions of Comrade Tran Dang Ninh in Bac Son, Lang Son....

Mr. Tran Tuan Quang, son of comrade Tran Dang Ninh, spoke at the conference.

The workshop is one of the practical activities to research, collect and verify documents about the life, career and contributions of comrade Tran Dang Ninh to submit to the Politburo and the Secretariat for consideration to add to the list of exemplary senior leaders of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution.
