The model was implemented on a scale of 26 hectares/24 households in Ham Phu commune (Ham Thuan Bac district) from December 2024 to March 2025. The rice varieties used were OM5451, NVP 79, Huong Chau 6, and Loc Troi 4. The area for demonstration of the new rice varieties was Loc Troi 4 with 1 hectare/1 household; Huong Chau 6 with 1 hectare/1 household; and 3 hectares/5 households for the control group of OM5451. For both the VietGAP model and the new rice variety model, 12 kg of rice was sown per sao (approximately 1000 square meters).

Both of these models are implemented by the Binh Thuan Agricultural Extension Center in collaboration with NetZero Carbon Joint Stock Company and BSB Nanotech Nano Technology Joint Stock Company, focusing on greenhouse gas emission reduction through the "1 must - 6 reductions" rice cultivation method. This method follows the AWD standard, an "alternating wetting and drying irrigation technique" successfully applied in many countries by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).
Accordingly, households participating in the model need to apply cluster sowing and spraying methods; and alternate wet and dry irrigation. At the same time, they must apply the "1 must, 6 reductions" technical process: must use certified seeds, reduce seed quantity, reduce fertilizer, reduce pesticides, reduce irrigation water, reduce post-harvest losses, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, they should increase the use of organic fertilizers and biological pesticides; and keep electronic field diaries instead of traditional paper diaries.

According to the assessment of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, at the time of harvest, the VietGAP rice model has a lower number of panicles per square meter compared to the non-model (59-99 panicles/m² ) , and the new rice variety model has a lower number of panicles per square meter compared to the non-model (52-138 panicles/m² ) . However, the number of filled grains per panicle in both models is higher than in the non-model. Therefore, the estimated actual yield of the VietGAP model is 4.35-5.96 quintals/ha higher, and the new rice variety demonstration model is 3.86-4.57 quintals/ha higher than in the non-model.

Through this model, the aim is to support farmers in accessing good agricultural practices and to provide them with new rice varieties with superior characteristics suitable for local natural conditions. Furthermore, it aims to create safe products, enhance the value of agricultural products, increase economic efficiency, and potentially contribute to the province's crop variety structure.
Based on the above model, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center proposed to the Ham Phu Organic Agricultural Cooperative to mill and package low-emission rice products for the market in the near future. At the same time, they requested the Ham Thuan Bac District Agricultural Technical and Service Center to encourage farmers to widely cultivate the two new rice varieties, Huong Chau 6 and Loc Troi 4, in the locality.
