
The workshop attracted the participation of many domestic and international experts and scholars, along with representatives of a number of ministries, branches, localities, research institutes, universities, professional associations and a number of representatives of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam to promote knowledge connection, share development experiences, and promote international cooperation in the field of marine science and technology.
The workshop heard opinions from international delegates attending the International Scientific Conference on the East Sea, from Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan (China) and India, sharing issues and practices in applying science and technology in four areas including: Protecting marine biodiversity outside jurisdiction; balancing production and biodiversity in aquaculture and coastal conservation; exploiting big maritime data for marine space management and ecotourism development; protecting seabed infrastructure.

At the workshop, delegates discussed, shared and highlighted the needs to strengthen and consolidate scientific and technological cooperation to promote sustainable marine development and ways to promote technological diplomacy, enhance the role of the Foreign Affairs sector to serve the needs of ministries, sectors, localities and businesses, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and Resolution 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation.
