On June 5, the Organizing Committee of the 18th Swimming, Diving, and Rescue Competition "Swimming to Prevent and Combat Child Drowning Accidents Program" in An Giang Province in 2025 held an award ceremony for the participating units.

After 3 days of exciting competition, Chau Phu district unit won first place overall; Tinh Bien unit won second place and Long Xuyen unit won third place. The Organizing Committee also awarded gold, silver and bronze medals to individuals and teams in the competition, according to each age group.

The competition was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Health in coordination with the People's Committee of Tinh Bien Town, aiming to effectively implement the swimming popularization program, reduce drowning accidents for children in river, canal and flood-prone areas. At the same time, it also contributes to building a force of amateur athletes in localities, promoting swimming practice throughout the province.
